SUKKOT (SHABBAT) SABBATH

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES, BOOTHS) DAY 3 SCRIPTURES OR SHABBAT (SABBATH) SCRIPTURES DURING THIS FESTIVAL.

SUKKOT (SHABBAT,SABBATH) SCRIPTURES DURING

EZEKIEL 38:18-39:16 King James Bible
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

Tropical Storm Karen nears hurricane strength Wed Sep 26, 12:14 PM ET

MIAMI (Reuters) - Tropical Storm Karen gained strength on Wednesday and could soon become a hurricane in the open Atlantic while a new tropical storm was expected to form in the Gulf of Mexico, U.S forecasters said. Karen, the 11th named Atlantic storm of the year, was located around 1,225 miles east of the Windward Islands by 11 a.m. (1500 GMT) and had top sustained winds of 70 miles per hour (110 km per hour), the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. The storm could become a hurricane later on Wednesday with winds in excess of 74 mph (119 kph), the hurricane center said, but its most likely track would take it well north of the Caribbean islands and out over open ocean, potentially toward Bermuda.A developing tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico, however, was expected to strike land within three days although computer models indicated that important U.S. and Mexican oil installations in the region were not at risk.

The tropical depression, which would be named Lorenzo once it reaches tropical storm strength with winds of at least 39 mph (63 kph), was around 205 miles east-southeast of Tampico, Mexico, and around 155 miles east of Tuxpan. Its top winds were near 35 mph (55 kph) and it was expected to drift aimlessly for a while before coming ashore in central Mexico at below hurricane strength.None of the computer models used to forecast storm tracks and intensity showed the system heading north toward areas near Texas and Louisiana where the United States gets a third of domestic crude output and 15 percent of its natural gas.The 2007 Atlantic storm season has generated three hurricanes so far, including Hurricane Humberto, which startled coastal residents of Texas and Louisiana in mid-September by unexpectedly strengthening into a hurricane before landfall, and two ferocious maximum-strength Category 5 hurricanes.

One of the Category 5 hurricanes, Dean, swiped Jamaica and then plowed into Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The other, Felix, tore into Central America. It was the first time since records began in 1851 that two top-ranked hurricanes on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale made landfall in the Atlantic basin in the same season, which begins June 1 and runs to the end of November.
Weather experts have forecast an above-average 16 named storms this year. Record-busting 2005 saw 28 storms form, of which 15 strengthened into hurricanes, including Hurricane Katrina, the storm that swamped New Orleans.

Sarkozy sets conditions for rejoining NATO military command
25.09.2007 - 08:59 CET | By Honor Mahony

French president Nicolas Sarkozy on Monday (24 September) laid down two conditions for France to rejoin the military command structure of NATO after an absence of over 40 years. In an interview with The New York Times, Mr Sarkozy said he had no problem with returning to the military alliance's integrated command, from which French president Charles de Gaulle withdrew in 1966.But he said that first European defence must move forward and that top positions in the US-led NATO organisation should be reserved for French personnel.I would make progress on a European defence a condition for moving into the integrated command, and I am asking our American friends to understand that, said the president.A Europe capable of defending itself independently would not be a risk for the Americans; it would be an asset.

He continued: It is obvious that if we were to envisage such a move, it could only happen in as much as space was made in the leadership, at the highest level, for representatives of France.
France remained a member of the alliance after President de Gaulle removed French troops from its integrated military command and said that all non-French NATO troops may no longer be stationed in France. It rejoined the Military Committee in 1995 and has become considerably closer to NATO, participating in military operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the French army has also adopted the same procedures as the alliance.Mr Sarkozy's predecessor Jacques Chirac also sought to join the military command structure in 1997, but the conditions he set were rejected by the Clinton administration. The current French president appears to have put the ball in the US' court with the two conditions.

European defence policy

However, Nicolas Sarkozy has also done much to open the informal political channels between Washington and Paris by publicly praising America and its values and also choosing to take his summer holiday in the US.The NATO pre-conditions also see a return to a favourite topic of Mr Sarkozy - the creation of a European defence policy. It is set to be a big theme when France takes over political leadership of the EU in the second half of 2008.The president indicated the importance he attaches to the theme by having troops from all EU member states present during this year's celebrations of Bastille Day on 14 July. At the time, Mr Sarkozy said: The basis for a European defence exists. We must make it grow, he said, adding I want Europe to be capable of ensuring its security autonomously.

Central Africa: France Takes the Lead On New UN-EU Peacekeeping Mission - UN Integrated Regional Information Networks
26 September 2007

New York

France will be the largest single troop contributor to a new joint UN-European Union multi-dimensional peacekeeping mission to Chad and Central African Republic authorised by the UN Security Council on 25 September. The former colonial power of both countries already has a military base in Chad and some troops in Central African Republic (CAR). It is expected to contribute about half of the EU force of 3,000 to 4,000 troops to support the new UN Mission, MINURCAT.Deployment is expected to start in November, preceding the arrival of the UN-African Union hybrid force expected in the Darfur region of neighbouring Sudan early next year.Chadian President Idriss Deby, who was initially reluctant to allow a UN force into his country, agreed to a proposal France put forward in June for a joint UN-EU force. However rebel groups in Chad have warned the international community that if the EU troops take sides in the country's civil war they will become a target.

French troops based in the Chadian capital N'djamena were perceived as having been instrumental in halting one rebel group's attempt to invade N'djamena in April 2006.Some aid groups in eastern Chad have expressed concern about France's dominance in the new peacekeeping force. If the major component of the force is French it will not be seen as a neutral force in the country by a lot of other stakeholders, Oxfam's Roland Van Hauwermeiren told the BBC, after the Security Council's adoption. The resolution gives the EU troops the power to use force to protect civilians in accordance with Chapter VII of the UN Charter. The EU soldiers are to provide security and assist in the flow of humanitarian aid.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees AntÃ'nio Guterres issued a statement after the resolution was adopted, saying, This is most urgent given that the humanitarian situation in eastern Chad is very difficult and serious and [there is] fear of increasing violence, causing more people to flee, with the approaching end of the rainy season.Since the start of armed conflict in Darfur in 2003, some 240,000 Sudanese men, women and children have fled to Chad, according to UN estimates. Fighting in Chad and CAR has displaced some 350,000 people within the two countries.According to the two-tiered resolution which France drafted, the UN component will consist of 300 police, 50 military liaison officers and civilian officers mandated to select, train and advise local police. After six months, the Secretary General will review the mission's progress. After a year a UN peacekeeping force may take over from the EU.

The resolution was adopted hours before French President Nicolas Sarkozy chaired an African summit in coordination with the UN's annual General Assembly.France welcomes the adoption of the resolution, Sarkozy said at the summit. The crisis in Darfur and its regional ramifications are a priority for France.[This report does not necessarily reflect the views of the United Nations]

The Third and Final Wave of WW3 is when all Nations march to Jerusalem, but JESUS bodily returns to earth and destroys them, sets up his KINGDOM OF RULE FOR 1000 YEARS THEN FOREVER.

Nuclear Iran would lead to war
Ian Munro, New York - September 27, 2007

ALLOWING Iran to acquire nuclear weapons would destabilise the world, French President Nicolas Sarkozy has told the UN General Assembly.Mr Sarkozy said weakness in the face of Iran's nuclear ambitions would lead to war. There will be no peace in the world if the international community falters in the face of nuclear arms proliferation … Weakness and renunciation do not lead to peace. They lead to war, Mr Sarkozy said yesterday in his first UN speech.
Senior diplomats of the five permanent Security Council member countries and Germany will meet over the next few days to discuss possible new sanctions against Tehran because of its refusal to halt uranium enrichment. Also yesterday, Australia's Foreign Minister, Alexander Downer, expressed concern at Iran's increasing isolation and said there was growing support for financial sanctions.

Things are getting worse in relation to Western relationships with Iran, but also, by the way, I think many of the Arab states' relations to Iran are going through a period of rapid deterioration, he said.Mr Downer was speaking after Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, told the General Assembly, in veiled comments aimed at the US and Israel, that some powers do not value any nation or human beings, and the only things that matter to them are themselves, their political parties and groups.
Mr Ahmadinejad said the issue of his country's nuclear program was closed since Tehran was co-operating with UN nuclear authorities.

8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.(RUSSIA-EGYPT AND MUSLIMS)
10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Ahmadinejad’s Psychological Warfare
By Dr. Mike Evans SEPT 27,07

In the spirit of universal horror and revulsion at the Holocaust, the U.N. was founded in 1945 by war-torn nations hoping to at last establish a foundation for world peace based on human rights. Why would a man who denies the Holocaust and declares that With the force of God behind, we shall soon experience the world without the United States of Zionism” be allowed a forum to further insult the American people? Since 2005, Iran has threatened to bomb the State of Israel and Iraqi bases saying it has locked on its 600 Shahab missiles.Advanced Iranian weapons are pouring into Afghanistan and Iraq and are being used to kill American troops, i.e. the Misagh-1, a portable surface-to-air missile with an infrared guided system; the RPG-29 rocket-propelled grenade; 240mm rockets; and EFPs (explosively formed penetrators), armor-piercing roadside bombs.

Why would Mahmoud Ahmadinejad want to manipulate and utilize the American media as a means to reach his goal? The simple answer is found in the statement he made on 60 Minutes, that he was waging psychological warfare. Writing this article from the fifth floor of the Intercontinental Hotel in New York City, Ahmadinejad’s Ground Zero for his psychological warfare, is an eerie feeling. I have held many meetings with his diplomats; it has become quite clear that they will not permit their reality to be distorted with the facts.Osama bin Laden told Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, that fifty percent of the war on terror was a media war. Israel’s President Peres told me that, in fact, it is ninety percent. Ahmadinejad understands how to manipulate the media to fight the war on terror and win it. He is doing precisely that.

Columbia University, the U.N., and the liberal Left media are playing into his hands by providing a platform which grants him world legitimacy. This terrorist presides over a fascist state known for its blatant support of terror, arrests men whose hair is deemed too long, and even worse, supports the death penalty for gays. The absurdity at Columbia is that the university has banned the ROTC from its campus because the ROTC would not support the don’t ask, don’t tell gay military policy. Yet, a man responsible for murdering gays is welcome. The head of the Minuteman organization’s request for a meeting at Columbia over the immigration issue was cancelled. Now, a murderer and the man who has replaced Osama bin Laden as head of the A team of terror, the man who controls billions of dollars and tens of millions of people, and the head of several terror sub-contractors in the Middle East (HAMAS, Hezbollah, the Mahdi Army), has been granted a privileged visa. Why did Ahmadinejad want to visit Ground Zero? It was certainly not to show his sympathy for suffering Americans; it was to exploit Ground Zero and use the hallowed ground as an arena to wage psychological warfare. It was to be a platform to build his case on why he believed we were attacked. (Like his Holocaust denial, he also denies that America was attacked by al-Qaeda.)

Iran has experienced a severe crackdown on social behavior and dress; women are barred from smoking in public and from attending stadium events. The liberal Left media has become the carrier to spread the Ebola virus of terror. By playing into Ahmadinejad’s hands, the media has elevated him in the Middle East to the role of terrorist superstar defying the evil empire.Ahmadinejad has become increasingly isolated at home and in the region because of his go-it-alone, ineffective policies. He is neither the head of state nor the commander in chief as Columbia University and the secular media claim; his support comes from the Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khameini, the supreme leader. His political strength depends on his ability to manipulate the media of the West for ideological purposes.Iran’s President controls civil government in Iran, and holds the title, Guardian of the Revolution. The Iranian people have become so disillusioned that two of his ministers have resigned, the head of the central bank has resigned, and the chief judge criticized him for his mismanagement of the government. His effectiveness in manipulating the media of the West is responsible for the propagation of his ideological revolution. How shameful when Ahmadinejad could be easily ignored and marginalized. This would strengthen the hand of the Iranian people suffering under his fanatical fascist regime.

Ronald Reagan achieved that effectively by not allowing Yasser Arafat a privileged visa to enter the U.S. Ahmadinejad’s PR tour is an insult to the American families who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq and in Afghanistan compliments of Iran. It is an insult to the Bush Doctrine on Terror: If you harbor terrorists, you are a terrorist. If you train terrorists, you are a terrorist. If you feed a terrorist or fund a terrorist, you’re a terrorist; and you will be held accountable by the United States and our friends. Legitimizing Ahmadinejad effectively undermines the human rights organizations’ leaders in Iran that have suffered imprisonment and even death for daring stand up to him. It’s hypocrisy to tell Mexicans that love America and only want to come here to work, We are throwing you in jail; you don’t have a visa, and provide a privileged visa to a terrorist/murderer who has threatened to wipe the State of Israel off the map and to send suicide bombers into the United States.Ahmadinejad’s speech at the U.N. will be no different than his last two when he proclaimed that the perfect human being was coming; and asked that he make us among his followers, and among us who strive for his return. (September 2006) He truly believes that he is a 21st century John the Baptist that will usher in this Twelfth Mahdi through an apocalypse. That is what prompted his 18-page letter to President Bush declaring, Those with insight can already hear the sounds of the shattering and fall of the ideology and thoughts of the Liberal democratic systems.Ahmadinejad has an agenda; now he has a platform, thanks to the U.N., Columbia University and the liberal Left media.

JERUSALEM DIVIDED

ZECHARIAH 12:1-5 King James Bible
1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

ZECHARIAH 14:1-9 King James Bible
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Palestinians: Olmert agreed to surrender Jerusalem

Palestinian Authority sources said at the weekend that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has privately agreed to surrender the eastern half of Jerusalem - including the Old City and Temple Mount - to the Arabs as part of any final status peace agreement.
Speaking to the official Palestinian Authority newspaper Al Hayat Al Jadeeda, one official said that Chairman Mahmoud Abbas told visiting US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice last week that Olmert had assured him Israel would ultimately meet the long-standing Arab demand on control of Jerusalem. Olmert reportedly made the promise during a recent preparatory meeting with Abbas ahead of a major US-hosted Middle East peace summit scheduled to take place in Washington in November.

In an appearance before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday, Olmert confirmed that he stands ready to surrender most of Judea and Samaria as part of what he hopes would be a genuine peace agreement with the Palestinians, reported The Jerusalem Post. However, Olmert looked to lessen expectations of the upcoming gathering, telling lawmakers they should see it as a short international meeting intended to give international encouragement to the process that we initiated with the Palestinians rather than a full-blown peace conference.

Key Arab nations invited to peace talks

WASHINGTON, September 25 -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that key Arab nations, including Syria, would be invited to President Bush's planned Mideast peace conference this fall and expressed hope they would attend.Formal invitations haven't been issued yet but Rice said it would be natural for Syria, Saudi Arabia and 10 other Arab League members looking at a broad peace deal with Israel to participate despite their hostility to the Jewish state. It is very important that the regional players of the international community mobilize to support them, she said, referring to the Israelis and the Palestinians. But, she said their attendance would have to reflect acceptance of international efforts to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and support for the ultimate goal of a two-state solution and comprehensive regional peace agreement.

We would hope that the invitations would include the members of the Arab follow-up committee, Rice told a news conference here after a meeting of the international diplomatic Quartet on the Middle East — the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia.Aside from the Palestinians and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, the committee members are Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen.Only two of the countries, Egypt and Jordan, have peace deals with Israel and some, notably Syria, remain technically at war with the Jewish state. Earlier this month, Israel is alleged to have launched an airstrike on what some reports have said was a North Korean nuclear facility in Syria. The United States has long been concerned about Syrian development of weapons of mass destruction and has harshly criticized Syria for its consistent anti-Israel stance, support for Palestinian militants and its role in Lebanon where Damascus is accused of interference.

Rice did not speak to the appropriateness of inviting Syria to the as-yet unscheduled conference that Bush announced plans for in July and is expected to be held in Washington in November. She said that attendance has to be a commitment to supporting a two-state solution and agreement that the chance to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one that we should not miss. The Palestinians want the conference to produce an outline for a peace deal; the Israelis want more vague declarations. - AP

7YR TREATY BY PROOF

GENESIS 2:2-3 GOD RESTED THE 7TH DAY
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

LEVITICUS 25:1-9 THE 7 YEAR SABBATICAL
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
7 And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

God has always dealt with Israel in 7's, it just makes sense the last dealing with Israel and the World will be a 7 yr treaty. God rested from creation on the 7TH DAY. Every 7TH YEAR Israel is suppose to rest the land. And the 7X7=49 YRS and the jubilee is the 50TH YEAR.

Now the scriptures that a week in Israel history is 7YEARS.

Heres the scripture 1 week = 7 yrs Genesis 29:27-29
27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

Isn"t this interesting it comes from the same Person whos name was changed to Israel,(JACOB) and Israel and Jerusalem is the places dealt with in Daniel 9:24-27.

GENESIS 32:27-28
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

1 CHRONICLES 17:6-14
6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?
7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee:
14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

MATTHEW 24:32-35
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:(MAY 14,1948 ISRAEL BECOMES A NATION IN 1 DAY).
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

LUKE 21:24
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.(JERUSALEM IN JEWSH HANDS JUNE 6-10, 1967).

DANIEL 9:24-27
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people (ISRAEL) and upon thy holy city,(JERUSALEM) to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks,(7X7=49 YRS) and threescore and two weeks:(62X7=434 YRS) the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come (ROMANS IN AD 70) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary;(TEMPLE) and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (69x7=483 YRS TO THIS POINT, THE FINAL 7 YR TREATY IS IN THE NEXT VERSE TO FULFILL THE 490 YEARS OF DANIELS PROPHECY.
9:27 And he (THE FUTURE ROMAN PRESIDENT) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,(3RD TEMPLE DESECRATED) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.(WW3)

President Bush Meets with President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority The Waldorf Astoria New York, New York

In Focus: Peace in the Middle East - 4:46 P.M. EDT

PRESIDENT BUSH: Mr. President, Prime Minister, members of the delegation, thank you for coming. I strongly support the creation of a Palestinian state. I believe it's in the interests of the Palestinian people, I believe it's in the interests of Israel to have a democracy living side-by -- democracies living side-by-side in peace. And the fundamental question that I ask is, is their leadership that share the vision and are willing to work hard to achieve the vision? And if the answer to that question is yes, the United States of America will be a strong partner in implementing the vision. I have known the President for quite a while. I am convinced that he is dedicated to the formation of a Palestinian democracy that will live in peace with their neighbor, Israel. And I believe the Prime Minister of Israel is dedicated to the same vision. And therefore, as I told the President, the United States of America will work as hard as we possibly can to help you achieve the vision, Mr. President.

Condi Rice has been very engaged; Secretary Rice has been very engaged in the region. When she speaks, she's speaking for me and my government. And I appreciate you taking time to explain to me the hurdles you see, the role you'd like to see the United States play, and your dedication to a cause that is just and important. I appreciate the fact that you're fighting the extremists who don't share the same kind of view. And I believe that the vision of two states, side-by-side in peace, is achievable. And we want to help you realize that goal.

So thank you for coming.

PRESIDENT ABBAS: (As translated.) Mr. President, thank you very much for receiving us here and for hosting us. And we appreciate that very much. I would like to take this opportunity to confer with you that we truly believe very strongly in the peace process, and we believe very strongly in your vision of establishing a Palestinian, independent, viable state that lives side-by-side with the state of Israel. Mr. President, these days we feel hopeful and we feel and we sense the hope, especially after the call to convene an international meeting during the month of November. We believe that this meeting should deal with the substance and issues of substance that would lead to full negotiations on the permanent status that would lead to a permanent peace and a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. And based on our belief of the seriousness of this call, both us and the Israelis have formed the teams that will work immediately in order to negotiate for the issues to be ready and right to take it one step further and be prepared and ready prior to the mid-November date for the convening of the meeting.

I also take this opportunity to reaffirm again that we strongly believe in the road map, which includes your vision, Mr. President, as well as the Arab initiative. Collectively, together, I believe they represent a strong framework that would allow us and help us to initiate the permanent status issues and reach an agreement on it. Therefore Mr. President, we will continue to count on your work, on your support, and your serious efforts. We have faith and trust in all of this, and believe that with the help of this, we'll be able to reach the just and durable peace in the Middle East.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Thank you, sir.

Report: China could have world's largest navy by 2020
Chad Groening - OneNewsNow.com - September 25, 2007

A national defense analyst says that as the U.S. Navy continues to shrink, the communist Chinese are rapidly expanding their fleet -- possibly becoming the world's largest naval power by 2020.Cliff Kincaid, president of America's Survival, is saying it is no secret the Chinese have been using the billions of dollars they have obtained from the sale of cheap goods to the United States to build up their military. However, he says what is really frightening is the build-up of the Chinese navy, which could pose a major threat to U.S. security.

Some analysts say that the Chinese, by the year 2020, will be the largest maritime force [and] have the biggest navy on the face of the globe. This is what's facing us out there, says Kincaid. Our U.S. Navy leaders don't seem to recognize it -- or else they do and they have decided the approach should be to appease the Chinese.Kincaid says that in the meantime, the U.S. Navy continues to downsize. We are down now to only 276 Navy ships, from a high of 594 under President Reagan -- and we're scheduled to decline even further, down to 180 over the next 17 years, he laments. The analyst says that instead of moving to expand the size of the Navy, the Pentagon is pursuing a policy of depending upon the navies of other countries and treaties to protect American interests on the high seas.American Family News Network.

N.Korea denies Syria nuke link
Published: 25, 2007 at 7:21 AM

BEIJING, 25 (UPI) -- North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan Tuesday dismissed those who say his country has nuclear ties with Syria as lunatics, a report said.Speaking in Beijing, where he arrived for the six-party talks on his country’s denuclearization, Kim said, Lunatics have created these rumors about a nuclear deal between us and Syria, Yonhap news agency reported. Kim’s denial was a repetition of North Korea’s earlier denial that it is helping Syria with a secret atomic weapons program, the report said. The North Korean official is in China for four days of talks starting Thursday among the six nations involved in the North’s denuclearization. Other nations in the talks are South Korea, the United States, Russia, China and Japan.

Kim said if no agreement was reached during the talks, the entire process could stop, the report said.Denuclearization will continue if we reach (an) agreement on the steps we have achieved so far, Kim was quoted as saying. And this is a very important meeting where things will return to the starting point if no agreement is produced.North Korea has already shut down its main nuclear facility and the next step in the process involves disabling all of its nuclear facilities which have been surveyed by a team of international experts.

2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.
3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.
4 And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.
5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.
7 For the cherubim spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
13 I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.
14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
15 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
18 And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.
19 Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
20 And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
21 And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES,BOOTHS) DAY 1

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES,BOOTHS)DAY 1

DAY 1 TORAH SCRIPTURES

LEVITICUS 22:26-23:44 King James Bible
26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
27 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
28 And whether it be cow, or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.
30 On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD.
31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.
32 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,
33 That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savor unto the LORD.
19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
33 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.
35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
37 These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
38 Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.
41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

NUMBERS 29:12-16 King James Bible
12 And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:
13 And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savor unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:
14 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams,
15 And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs:
16 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES, BOOTHS) DAY 1 PROPHET SCRIPTURES

ZECHARIAH 14:1-21 King James Bible
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

SUKKOT (TABERNACLES, BOOTHS) DAY 1 NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES.

ANYTIME DURING THE FESTIVAL

JOHN 7:1-53 King James Bible
1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2 Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles was at hand.
3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.
4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.
6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.
9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.
14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.
33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. 35 Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.
41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? 42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
43 So there was a division among the people because of him.
44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) 51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
53 And every man went unto his own house.

Tropical Storm Karen forms in Atlantic SEPT 25,07

MIAMI - A tropical depression strengthened into Tropical Storm Karen early Tuesday in the open Atlantic Ocean, where it posed no immediate threat to land, and a new tropical depression formed in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. At 11 p.m. EDT, Karen was centered about 1,355 miles east of the Windward Islands, with top sustained winds near 40 mph, the National Hurricane Center said. It was moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph and was expected to continue this motion over the next 24 hours.Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from Karen's center. On its current course, it is expected to hit two troughs, though forecasters are unsure how they will affect Karen.

The 13th depression of the season formed Tuesday, but remained weak, forecasters said. A tropical storm watch may be required for a portion of the Gulf Coast of Mexico on Wednesday. At 11 p.m. the storm was located about 165 miles east southeast of Tampico, Mexico and moving toward the west near 5 mph with top sustained winds near 30 mph.It was expected to slowly gain strength during the next 24 hours.National Hurricane Center: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

Council of Europe to vote on creationism next week By Tom Heneghan, Religion Editor Tue Sep 25, 12:48 PM ET

PARIS (Reuters) - Europe's main human rights body will vote next week on a resolution opposing the teaching of creationist and intelligent design views in school science classes. The Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly will debate a resolution saying attacks on the theory of evolution were rooted in forms of religious extremism and amounted to a dangerous assault on science and human rights. The resolution, on the agenda for October 4, says European schools should resist presentation of creationist ideas in any discipline other than religion. It describes the intelligent design argument as an updated version of creationism.
Anne Brasseur, an Assembly member from Luxembourg who updated an earlier draft resolution, said the vote was due in June but was postponed because some members felt the original text amounted to an attack on religious belief.

Only minor changes have been made to the initial draft.

There are different views of the creation of the world and we respect that, she told Reuters. The message we wanted to send was to avoid creationism passing itself off as science and being taught as science. That's where the danger lies. The Council, based in the eastern French city of Strasbourg, oversees human rights standards in member states and enforces decisions of the European Court of Human Rights. If passed, the resolution would not be binding on its 47 member states but would reflect widespread opposition among politicians to teaching creationism in science class.

NATURAL SELECTION DROPPED

Creationism says God made the world in six days as depicted in the Bible. Intelligent design argues some life forms are too complex to have evolved according to Charles Darwin's theory and needed an unnamed higher intelligence to develop as they have. Some conservatives in the United States, both religious and secular, have long opposed the teaching of evolution in public schools but U.S. courts have regularly barred them from teaching what they describe as religious views of creation.Pressure to teach creationism is weaker in Europe, but has been mounting. An Assembly committee took up the issue because a shadowy Turkish Muslim publishing group has been sending an Islamic creationist book to schools in several countries.Supporters of intelligent design want it taught in science class alongside evolution. A U.S. court ruled this out in a landmark decision in 2005, dismissing it as neo-creationism.The aim of this report is not to question or to fight a belief, Brasseur wrote in a memorandum added to the new resolution. It is not a matter of opposing belief and science, but it is necessary to prevent belief from opposing science. She said the resolution also shortened references in the resolution to evolution by natural selection to evolution because some members had misunderstood the reference to natural selection to be an attack on their religious beliefs.

Leaders pledge restraint on gay bishops By RACHEL ZOLL, AP Religion Writer SEPT 25,07

NEW ORLEANS - Episcopal leaders, pressured to roll back their support for gays to keep the world Anglican family from crumbling, affirmed Tuesday that they will exercise restraint in approving another gay bishop and will not authorize prayers to bless same-sex couples. The statement mostly reiterated earlier pledges by the church, and it will not be known for some time whether the bishops went far enough to help prevent an Anglican schism.
Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said she believed the document met the requests of Anglican leaders. But some Episcopal conservatives immediately rejected the statement as too weak, because it does not bar gays and lesbians from becoming bishops.

Bishops released the statement in the final hour of an intense six-day meeting and at a crucial moment in the decades-long Anglican debate over how the Bible should be interpreted. The 77-million-member world Anglican Communion has been splintering since 2003, when Episcopalians consecrated the first openly gay bishop, V. Gene Robinson of New Hampshire. The Episcopal Church is the Anglican body in the U.S.Anglican leaders had set a Sunday deadline for the Americans to pledge unequivocally not to consecrate another gay bishop or approve an official prayer service for same-sex couples.Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, the Anglican spiritual leader, took the unusual step of attending the meeting for the first two days, pushing bishops to make concessions for the sake of unity. Anglican lay and clergy representatives from overseas also participated, scolding Episcopal leaders for the turmoil they've caused. Williams and other Anglican leaders will evaluate the statement in the coming weeks.Robinson said the talks with Williams and Anglican leaders were the two hardest days since my consecration. But he said thought the document was fair.I think people came here thinking this was going to be Katrina II, he said. And what in fact happened was a coming together of the bishops of the church.

However, Episcopal conservatives noted that many priests will still conduct same-gender blessing ceremonies, despite the lack of an official prayer. Critics also said the bishops aren't doing enough to provide alternative leadership for conservative dioceses.
This is a 'try to keep your foot in the door' maneuvering effort, said Canon Kendall Harmon, a leading conservative from the Diocese of South Carolina.Conservative Bishop John Howe of the Diocese of Central Florida said the statement wouldn't satisfy all the Anglican leaders. But Howe said most will find it acceptable.Howe is staying in the Episcopal Church, even though his diocese, based in Orlando, has rejected Jefferts Schori as a leader because she is liberal. In the document, the bishops reconfirmed a resolution passed last year by the Episcopal General Convention, urging bishops to exercise restraint by not consenting to a candidate for bishop whose manner of life presents a challenge the church and the communion.Episcopal leaders also demanded that overseas Anglican leaders stop coming into the U.S. to take oversight of breakaway conservative Episcopal parishes. Anglican leaders from Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and elsewhere have consecrated bishops to oversee congregations in the United States.

Four dioceses — Fort Worth, Texas; Pittsburgh; Quincy, Ill.; and San Joaquin, Calif. — are taking steps to break away and align with an overseas Anglican church. And about 60 Episcopal parishes have left or have voted to leave the national church, according to the national church. The next crucial event for the communion will be the Lambeth Conference, in July in England. The once-a-decade meeting brings together all the bishops in the Anglican world.
Whether Williams can persuade bishops to attend will be a measure of the strength of the communion.Williams did not invite Robinson or a U.S.-based bishop, the Rt. Rev. Martyn Minns, who leads a network of breakaway conservative Episcopal parishes aligned with the Anglican Church of Nigeria. But some Anglican prelates don't want to be even at the same table as Episcopalians who consecrated Robinson. Separately, Robinson has been in private talks with the archbishop of Canterbury to find a way he can attend, as an observer perhaps, and bishops in New Orleans this week voted to support that effort.

Barak marks flawless 100 days at Israel's defence helm by Marius Schattner SEPT 25,07

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Efficient, secretive and sure of himself, former prime minister Ehud Barak has enjoyed a flawless 100 days back in government following a comeback to Israeli national politics, analysts say. Since reassuming the defence ministry portfolio on June 18 after winning the Labour party leadership, the ex-chief of staff has managed to restore Israelis' confidence in their armed forces, badly shaken after last year's inconclusive war in Lebanon, they say.In the three months that the 65-year-old has been in charge, the military has carried out several successful operations, including an air strike deep inside Syria reminiscent of some of Israel's most legendary operations. There is no doubt that Barak has returned a sentiment of security to the population with a series of successful operations, of which the last one in Syria has undoubtedly left its mark, political analyst Yaron Ezrahi told AFP.Having consolidated his leadership of the party, Barak is today in a good position to reclimb the ladder of power six years after withdrawing from public life following an election defeat in the wake of the failed Camp David summit with the Palestinians in 2000.

The professionalism of Israel's most decorated soldier contrasts sharply with the amateurism of his predecessor at defence, former trade union leader Amir Peretz who was roasted for his lack of leadership during last summer's 34-day war with the Shiite Hezbollah in Lebanon.Israel has maintained an official silence over the reported September 6 raid on Syria, in which Damascus said its air defence fired at Israeli warplanes that had dropped munitions deep inside the country. But the Israeli press has still been filled with foreign media reports, most of which now say that Israel bombed a military site that contained nuclear material from North Korea -- a charge denied by both Damascus and Pyongyang.A recent article in London's Sunday Times said that commandos from the elite Sayeret Matkal unit that Barak once headed had seized nuclear material at the site before bombing it, in a raid allegedly directed by Barak himself. As a soldier Barak took part in some of Israel's most legendary operations -- the 1972 Beirut raid against Palestinian militants in retaliation for the Munich Olympics massacre, storming a hijacked Sabena airliner at Tel Aviv in 1973 and the Entebbe hostage rescue in 1976.Barak's firm position in the security domain strengthens his popularity, Ezrahi said.

The general has also been successful in internal politics, managing to neutralise a potential threat posed by Ami Ayalon, his opponent for the Labour party leadership earlier this year, by bringing him into the government.Barak has masterly manipulated his rival Labourites, said historian and political analyst Ilan Greilsammer. Instead of dispatching with them he offered them a ministerial landing pad.Barak has also learned the lessons of his past defeats -- the failure of the Camp David peace talks in 2000, with the subsequent eruption of a major Palestinian uprising, and the election defeat to the right that followed.Back then he spoke too much, today he says nothing, said Greilsammer. He was branded as a leftist, today he is repositioning himself to the centre aiming to seduce the right-wing electorate. But the success of his first 100 days could paradoxically hurt the chances of the man once named Little Napoleon because of his arrogance returning to the pinnacle of power in Israel, according to analyst Daniel Bensimon.A good defence minister does not necessarily make a good prime minister, he said.Remaining silent over his plans is an excellent tactic for a commando chief, but not necessarily for a man who aims to lead the country.

MUSLIM NATIONS

EZEKIEL 38:1-12
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,(GOD FORCES THE MUSLIMS TO MARCH) and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia,(IRAN,IRAQ) Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer,(GERMANY) and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY)of the north quarters, and all his bands:(SUDAN,AFRICA) and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

ISAIAH 17:1
1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

PSALMS 83:3-7
3 They (ARABS,MUSLIMS) have taken crafty counsel against thy people,(ISRAEL) and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:(TREATIES)
6 The tabernacles of Edom,and the Ishmaelites;(ARABS) of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon,(JORDAN) and Amalek;(SYRIA) the Philistines (PALESTINIANS) with the inhabitants of Tyre;(LEBANON)

EZEKIEL 39:1-8
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

JOEL 2:3,20,30-31
3 A fire(NUCLEAR BOMB) devoureth before them;(RUSSIA-ARABS) and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army,(RUSSIA,MUSLIMS) and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.(SIBERIAN DESERT)
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.(NUCLEAR BOMB)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

WORLD TERRORISM

GENESIS 6:11-13
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

2 PETER 2:5
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

2 PETER 3:7
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men

LEVITICUS 26:16
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you( sudden) terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

GENESIS 16:11-12
11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.

ISAIAH 33:1,18-19 Woe to thee that spoilest,(destroys) and thou wast not spoiled;(destroyed) and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil,(destroy) thou shalt be spoiled;(destroyed) and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.

JOHN 16:2
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Indonesia calls for dialogue between Palestinian factions Tue Sep 25, 7:09 PM ET

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) - Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, on Tuesday urged rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah to hold a dialogue to end their differences, saying a divided community cannot secure peace and justice in the Middle East. Peace in the Middle East is crucial to long term global stability, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said in an address to the UN General Assembly. But, he said, there could no be no peace in the Middle East unless there was justice, especially for the Palestinian people. And a divided Palestinian nation cannot secure justice, Yudhoyono said. Hamas and Fatah must therefore engage in dialogue and reconcile their agendas. The long-standing Palestinian issue became more complicated in June with the takeover of the Gaza Strip by the Western-shunned Hamas Islamists.

The bloody takeover sank the Palestinian unity cabinet and split the Palestinians into two entities, with Hamas ruling Gaza and the Western-backed moderate president Mahmud Abbas, who leads the secular Fatah faction, based in the West Bank.Abbas sacked the Hamas-led government in the wake of the takeover and has since repeatedly said he is steadfastly opposed to any dialogue with Hamas until it returns Gaza to his authority.Hamas has been shut out of a peace summit called by the United States in the fall.
Abbas, attending the UN meeting in New York, wants the summit to cover core issues such as the possible borders of a future Palestinian state, the status of the contested holy city of Jerusalem, and the fate of Palestinian migrants.Yudhoyono also said that a revived Arab initiative to end the Israeli-Palestinian crisis must catalyze political change in the region.

That initiative, first launched in 2002, offers Israel peace and normal relations with all Arab states in return for its withdrawal from the territories it occupied in the 1967 war and a just settlement for Palestinian refugees. The Arab plan was revived this year with Saudi Arabia, which has no diplomatic ties with Israel, along with the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Egypt comprising an Arab quartet set up to promote the initiative.

Iran leader says nuclear issue closed By EDITH M. LEDERER, Associated Press Writer SEPT 25,07

UNITED NATIONS - Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared Tuesday that Iran's disputed nuclear program is closed as a political issue and said Tehran will ignore U.N. Security Council demands and sanctions imposed by arrogant powers to curb its nuclear program. Instead, he told world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly that Iran has decided to pursue the monitoring of its nuclear program through its appropriate legal path, the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency. When Ahmadinejad was ushered to the podium, the U.S. delegation walked out, leaving only a low-ranking note-taker to listen to his speech, which indirectly accused the United States and Israel of major human rights violations. State Department spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos said the U.S. wanted to send him a powerful message. The Iranian president spoke shortly before German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the diplomats of disastrous consequences for Israel and the world if Iran acquires a nuclear bomb. The world does not have to prove to Iran that Iran is building a nuclear bomb. Iran has to convince the world that it is not striving towards such a bomb.

Hours earlier, French President Nicolas Sarkozy told the assembly that allowing Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons would be an unacceptable risk. There will not be peace in the world if the international community falters in the face of the proliferation of nuclear arms, Sarkozy said. The Iranian crisis will only be resolved if firmness and dialogue go hand-in-hand.Iran insists the program is purely peaceful, aimed solely at using nuclear reactors to generate electricity. But the United States and key European nations believe the program is a cover for an Iranian attempt to produce nuclear weapons.Ahmadinejad has defied two Security Council resolutions demanding Iran suspend enrichment and imposing escalating sanctions on key figures and organizations involved in the nuclear program. He made clear in his speech that Iran did not intend to comply with them now.In the last two years, abusing the Security Council, the arrogant powers have repeatedly accused Iran and even made military threats and imposed illegal sanctions against it, he said.Previously, they illegally insisted on politicizing the Iranian nation's nuclear case, but today, because of the resistance of the Iranian nation, the issue is back to the agency, and I officially announce that in our opinion the nuclear issue of Iran is now closed and has turned into an ordinary agency matter, Ahmadinejad said.Iran has decided to pursue the issue through its appropriate legal path ... and to disregard unlawful and political impositions by the arrogant powers, he said.IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei and Iranian officials agreed in July that Tehran would answer questions from agency experts by December on more than two decades of nuclear activity — most of it secret until revealed over four years ago.

This week, IAEA technical officials returned to Tehran to to start probing outstanding questions, some with possible weapons applications. But while Iran is allowing the IAEA to inspect its known nuclear facilities, it no longer allows inspectors freedom to look elsewhere for suspicious activities on short notice as it once did.The U.S. initially opposed the plan, fearing it could draw attention away from Iran's defiance of the Security Council demand for a halt to Iranian uranium enrichment. It later endorsed the plan while emphasizing that must obey the council.A third Security Council resolution, with tougher sanctions, is being discussed. President Bush has refused to take military action off the table if Iran does not comply.Speaking to reporters later, Ahmadinejad attempted to clarify Tehran's stance. It's closed as a political issue, he said, stressing that it is a legal issue and therefore should have been examined solely within the framework of the IAEA.However, certain big powers ... have made every effort to turn a simple legal issue into a very loud, controversial, political issue, he said. All our efforts, most certainly, will be geared towards preventing sanctions, but you must know that the activities of the Security Council regarding Iran's nuclear issue are completely illegal, Ahmadinejad said. Iran was not without allies. Nicaragua's leftist President Daniel Ortega angrily chastised the U.S. for seeking to stop other countries from enriching uranium, which is allowed under the Nonproliferation Treaty.

Ortega said the United States, as the only country in the world to have dropped nuclear bombs on innocent people, had no right to question the right of Iran and North Korea to pursue nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.Earlier in the assembly's opening session, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon pledged to push for lasting peace in the Middle East and an end to the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region in the coming year, calling it one of the most challenging in the U.N.'s history. Bush spoke next and announced new sanctions against Myanmar's military dictatorship, accusing it of imposing a 19-year reign of fear that denies basic freedoms of speech, assembly and worship. But Bush barely mentioned Iran, a nation he also accuses of helping insurgents who are killing U.S. troops in Iraq. Amadinejad, whose speech at Columbia University on Monday provoked protests, was in the General Assembly chamber for Bush's speech. A U.N. diplomat in the chamber said the Iranian president listened to the secretary-general but pulled out his earpiece before Bush started to speak.
Asked about the protests and tough questions he faced at Columbia, Ahmadinejad told a press conference late Tuesday that he didn't find it to be difficult. I speak of my opinions and say what I need to say and others speak of theirs. After all, we are patient enough to listen to what even groups that are hostile to us say.

In his General Assembly speech, the Iranian leader lashed out at certain powers — an apparent reference to the United States and Israel — that violate human rights by setting up secret prisons, abducting people, holding trials and enacting secret punishments without any regard to due process, tapping phone conversations and intercepting people's private mail. They use various pretexts to occupy sovereign states and cause insecurity and division, and then use the prevailing situation as an excuse to continue their occupation, the Iranian president said. He then described how the Palestinian and Iraqi peoples have suffered under occupying forces. Referring to the U.S. government's policy on Iraq, he said: They even oppose the constitution, National Assembly and the government established by the vote of the people, while they do not even have the courage to declare their defeat and exit Iraq.In their view, human rights are tantamount to profits for their companies and friends. The rights and dignity of American people are also being sacrificed for the selfish desires of those holding power, he told the assembly.

Ahmadinejad, asked whether Iran recognized Israel as a state or believed it should be destroyed, said: We believe the Zionist regime is a usurpitive, illegal, occupational entity regime and the solution we have is that the Palestinian nation have self-determination, a free referendum.Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News that Ahmadinejad should not have been invited to address the General Assembly. Ahmadinejad is expanding a fanatic doctrine of genocide. He is developing nuclear weapons to achieve it, he said.Associated Press writers George Jahn in Vienna, Austria, Sarah DiLorenzo in New York, and Justin Bergman at the United Nations contributed to this report.
