Quakes, aftershocks worry Indonesians By ANTHONY DEUTSCH, Associated Press Writer Fri Sep 14, 11:28 PM ET

PADANG, Indonesia - Days of colossal earthquakes and tsunami warnings have forced traumatized Indonesian villagers to seek safety in the last place imaginable: graveyards. With only plastic sheeting to keep her family dry, Dasima joined hundreds camping in the mud between headstones on the flat, high ground, far from the ocean's reach.I am very afraid of another tsunami, the 50-year-old said two days after an 8.4-magnitude temblor sent a towering wave into her remote fishing village. We will stay here until we feel it is safe.

Seismologists warn, however, the worst may be yet to come.

Kerry Sieh of the California Institute of Technology has spent decades studying the fault line that runs along Indonesia's western coast. He is among several experts predicting a repeat of the powerful earthquake that triggered the 2004 Asian tsunami, which killed more than 230,000 people in a dozen Indian Ocean nations. No one can say whether it will be in 30 seconds or 30 years, he said. But what happened the other day, I think is quite possibly a sequence of smaller earthquakes leading up to the bigger one.Wednesday's quake shook four Southeast Asian countries, damaged hundreds of houses and spawned a 10-foot-high tsunami. At least 17 people were killed. A series of powerful earthquakes and dozens of strong aftershocks followed — including one measuring 7.8 and another 7.1.The wall of water that slammed into several fishing villages along Sumatra island's coast Wednesday swept away nearly a dozen houses, but overall damage was minimal, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said after an air force aerial survey.A nine-member U.N. assessment team reached the same conclusion after visiting the area, saying that a major international relief operation was not required, John Holmes, the U.N.'s emergency relief coordinator, said in a statement from New York.

Many people said a public awareness campaign launched after the 2004 tsunami paid off, including warnings issued over mosque speakers and training provided by local officials on how to escape a disaster. When the earth started shaking, some people yelled, 'It's time to go up the hill ... Let's get going, said Fadil, 35, a father of two, describing how he and hundreds of neighbors watched from above as the 10-foot wave approached. Hundreds of houses were damaged, but no one died.Elsewhere, however, electricity blackouts prevented some sirens from going off.The latest quakes — together with the 9.0-magnitude temblor in 2004 and an 8.7 quake in early 2005 — deeply concern experts. The fault, which runs the length of the west coast of Sumatra about 125 miles offshore, is the meeting point of the Eurasian and Pacific tectonic plates, which have been pushing against each other for millions of years, causing huge stresses to build up.There is a strong indication this foreshadows the big one, said Danny Hillman, an earthquake specialist at the Indonesian Institute of Science. We all agree there is an 8.5 or stronger earthquake waiting to happen.

That's exactly what residents along Sumatra's western coast, which is expected to bear the brunt of the next disaster, are worried about. The island was hardest hit by the 2004 tsunami, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the deaths. In the fishing village of Sungai Pisang, just south of the badly damaged city of Padang, hundreds of people were too scared to return home after the recent tremors sent a large wave washing into their bay.Indonesia, the world's largest archipelago, with a population of 235 million people, is prone to seismic upheaval due to its location on the Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanos and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin. 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Tropical Storm Ingrid weakens in open Atlantic Fri Sep 14, 11:06 PM ET

MIAMI (Reuters) - Tropical Storm Ingrid, the ninth named storm of the 2007 hurricane season, weakened slightly on Friday as it churned far out in the Atlantic and may dissipate in the next two days, U.S. forecasters said. Some weakening is forecast and it seems likely that Ingrid will diminish to (tropical) depression strength in the next couple of days ... and possibly dissipate in that time, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in an advisory late on Friday. The storm had top sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 kph) and was in an area of upper-level winds that are unfavorable for development, the hurricane center said. The center of Tropical Storm Ingrid was about 655 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.

The 2007 Atlantic hurricane season, however, has already sprung a few surprises.

On Thursday, Hurricane Humberto slammed into the Texas-Louisiana border area with an unexpectedly powerful punch that killed at least one person, shut down three refineries and cut power to more than 100,000 customers. It had been forecast to hit land as a tropical storm, but strengthened into an 85-mph (137-kph) hurricane, a pace that forecasters said was the fastest on record for a storm near land. The season has also witnessed the first time since records began in 1851 that two maximum-strength Category 5 hurricanes made landfall in the same year.Hurricanes Dean and Felix, which both reached the top rank on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale at a frighteningly quick rate, hit Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and Central America in August and September, respectively.

OSU scientists simulate tsunami's impact Fri Sep 14, 5:58 PM ET

CORVALLIS, Ore. - A giant tsunami struck Seaside, Ore. this week — at least, a model version of the town, built by researchers at Oregon State University to demonstrate the potentially devastating effects of a real tsunami. This is sort of a sim-tsunami, said Harry Yeh, an ocean engineer professor at the college. The exercise at Oregon State's O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory, showed that there would be little time to get out of the way of a 35-foot wave in the coastal resort town, and that the best escape route might be straight up.Because Seaside's downtown is so flat, the search for higher ground will be an exercise in futility for anyone who's not able-bodied. It could be particularly dangerous for the thousands of tourists who flood into Seaside every summer, and might not be aware that they need to head for the Coast Range the moment they feel the ground shake.Professors at the wave research lab are hoping that the model they've built will allow them to figure out which buildings would be buried in water, so that they can compare the results with computer-generated guesses about where the waves will go.

And they want to figure out whether there's a better alternative for some folks than to race away along roadways that will likely be buckled in the accompanying earthquake. To answer these questions, scientists and engineers will place optical sensors in the miniature village, which is fifty times smaller than the actual town. The sensors will collect data as a hydraulic dam simulates a tsunami by pushing a wall of water across a basin and towards the waiting buildings. The sensors will gather information about how high the waves are, how fast they travel and how deep they will be, once the town is inundated. The research could also determine whether it would be a good idea to build vertical shelters like the ones in Japan, so that residents can flee upward.Information from: The Register-Guard, http://www.registerguard.com

Ugandans homeless after severe floods By KATY POWNALL, Associated Press Writer Fri Sep 14, 3:59 PM ET

KAMPALA, Uganda - The heaviest rainfall in 35 years has displaced 150,000 people in eastern Uganda since August and the rain has been worsening by the hour, authorities said Friday. Up to 400,000 people have lost their livelihoods by severe flooding in eastern Uganda, State Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness Musa Ecweru said.
Nine people died after being washed away by floodwater or struck by lightening during the violent storms. The death toll was expected to rise because rain still falling across large areas of the affected region, Ecweru said.About 150,000 people had to move because of the rising water, he said. For the other 250,000 or thereabouts, there is nothing in the kitchen. Their crops have been destroyed, he said. The floods are worsening by the hour — for the last 48 hours, the rain continues falling. The United Nations said rainfall since July has been the heaviest in 35 years for many parts of eastern Uganda.Joint aid efforts by the government and the United Nations was being hampered by submerged roads and bridges, Ecweru said. Three boats and four helicopters were being brought to Uganda by the United Nations on Monday to help deliver emergency aid including food, fresh water, tarpaulins and medication, he added.

Floods kill 15 in Rwanda, leave 1,000 homeless Fri Sep 14, 4:39 AM ET

KIGALI (Reuters) - Floods killed 15 people and left about 1,000 people homeless after torrential downpours in the hills of northern Rwanda, the government said on Friday. The death toll has reached 15 since the heavy rains started on Wednesday, said Local Government Minister Protais Musoni. He told Reuters the Northern Province had also suffered hailstorms and landslides, sweeping away livestock and property and complicating relief efforts. More people were expected to be uprooted as the rain continued to fall.We are undertaking some emergency measures, taking those displaced to drier areas and providing them with medical care and food, Musoni said.
Heavy rains killed 25 people in same region last November.

THIS MURDERER O.J MIGHT HAVE MET HIS MATCH THIS TIME, WE WILL SEE.

Simpson named suspect in armed robbery By KATHLEEN HENNESSEY and LINDA DEUTSCH, Associated Press Writers SEPT 15,07

LAS VEGAS - O.J. Simpson says he went into a casino hotel room only to retrieve memorabilia that he felt was stolen from him. But police are investigating it as an armed robbery and named the fallen football star as a suspect Friday in yet another surprising chapter to his legal saga. In an interview with The Associated Press, Simpson insisted there were no guns involved and that he went to the room at the Palace Station casino only to get stolen mementos that included his Hall of Fame certificate and a picture of the running back with J. Edgar Hoover. It's stolen stuff that's mine. Nobody was roughed up, Simpson told the AP.Las Vegas Metro Police Capt. James Dillon said the confrontation was reported as an armed robbery involving guns. But he said no weapons had been recovered and stressed that the investigation was in its infancy.Simpson was questioned by police immediately after the incident Thursday night. Dillon said Simpson would not agree to a formal, recorded interview until his lawyer arrived, but did offer some statements about the incident. No charges had been filed and no one was in custody.Simpson said auction house owner Tom Riccio called him several weeks ago to say some collectors have a lot of your stuff and they don't want anyone to know they are selling it.Simpson, who was in Las Vegas for a friend's wedding, said he arranged to meet Riccio at the hotel. Riccio had set up a meeting with collectors under the guise that he had a private collector interested in buying Simpson's items.

We walked into the room, Simpson said in the telephone interview. I'm the last one to go in and when they see me, it's all Oh God.He said he was accompanied by several men he met at a wedding cocktail party, and they took the collectibles.Simpson said he wasn't sure where the items were taken.A message left by the AP for Riccio was not immediately returned. He told the Los Angeles Times he arranged the meeting after receiving a phone call about a month ago from a person who claimed to have personal items — including footballs, awards and photos — that had belonged to Simpson and wanted to sell them.Simpson was supposed to show up, identify the items and tell the men to either give the stuff back or he would call the police, Riccio told the newspaper. The plan unraveled after Simpson showed up with about seven intimidating looking guys, at least one of whom had a gun, he said.We tried to peacefully reacquire these personal items, not for their monetary value, but for their family value. O.J. wanted to be able to pass these things down to his kids, Riccio said.

They (Simpson and his companions) took the stuff, and they left. What can I say? Things went haywire, he said.Dillon said investigators were trying to untangle the web of ownership, and that some items had been recovered. He did not say which ones.
We do have some conflicting statements, there is legitimate information that part or all of the items possibly are the possessions of O.J. Simpson, Dillon said, adding that would not excuse a robbery. One of the collectors in the room was Alfred Beardsley, a real estate agent and longtime collector of Simpson memorabilia, some of which he has been ordered to turn over as part of a lawsuit. I'm OK. I'm shaken up, Beardsley told the AP by phone. He said Simpson's account of the incident was fairly accurate except that there were guns.

Simpson said: I didn't see anybody with any guns.

Bruce Fromong, a collector who testified at Simpson's civil trial, said he was in the room when Simpson barged in with other men. Him and some of his guys come busting through the door, Fromong told the celebrity gossip site TMZ.com. They came in with guns, hollering and screaming.Fromong, who reportedly tried to sell the suit Simpson wore when he was acquitted of murder, described him as a former close friend and said he couldn't explain the behavior. O.J.'s in enough trouble. For him to come and do this kind of thing, I don't know what's wrong with O.J. This is stupidity.
Simpson was released after he and several associates were questioned, and he remained in Las Vegas. We don't believe he's going anywhere, police spokesman Jose Montoya said. The Las Vegas district attorney's office will decide whether to pursue charges in the casino case. Both Beardsley and Simpson indicated the underlying issue was recovery of photos from Simpson's childhood. The Heisman Trophy winner, ex-NFL star and actor lives near Miami and has been a tabloid staple since his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman were killed in 1994. Simpson was acquitted of murder charges, but a jury later held him liable for the killings in a wrongful death lawsuit. Simpson has had to auction off his sports collectibles, including his Heisman Trophy, to pay some of the $33.5 million judgment awarded in the civil trial. On Thursday, the Goldman family published a book about the killings that Simpson had written under the title, If I Did It, about how he would have committed the crime had he actually done it. After a deal for Simpson to publish it fell through, a federal bankruptcy judge awarded the book's rights to the Goldman family, who retitled it If I Did It: The Confessions of the Killer.Fred Goldman, Ron's Goldman's father, said he was stunned by the news from Las Vegas. I'm overwhelmed and amazed, Fred Goldman told the AP. If it turns out as it is currently being played, I think this shows more of who he is. He is proving over and over and over again that he thinks he can do anything and get away with it.Goldman's lawyer, David Cook, said he would seek a court order on Tuesday to get whatever items Simpson took in Las Vegas. The Palace Station, an aging property just west of the Las Vegas Strip, is one of several Station Casinos-owned resorts that cater to locals. The 1,000-room hotel-casino, with a 21-story tower and adjacent buildings, opened in 1976. A company spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.

Agencies work on DNA 'barcodes' database By JOHN HEILPRIN, Associated Press Writer SEPT 15,07

WASHINGTON - To help shoppers avoid mislabeled toxic pufferfish and pilots steer clear of birds, federal agencies are starting to tap into an ambitious project that is gathering DNA barcodes for the Earth's 1.8 million known species. A consortium of scientists from almost 50 nations is overseeing the building of a global database made from tiny pieces of genetic material. Called DNA barcoding, the process takes a scientist only a few hours in a lab and about $2 to identify a species from a tissue sample or other piece of genetic material.David Schindel, a Smithsonian Institution paleontologist and executive secretary of the Consortium for the Barcode of Life, said the purpose is to create a global reference library — a kind of telephone directory for all species. If I know that gene sequence, I can submit it as a query to a database and get back the telephone number, he said. I can get back the species name. The government's interest in the project stems from a variety of possible uses.
The Food and Drug Administration has begun eyeing it as a tool to ferret out hazardous fish species and to confirm a type of leech used in some surgery. In May, the FDA used it to warn that a shipment labeled monkfish from China might actually be a type of pufferfish that could contain a deadly toxin if not prepared properly.

The Federal Aviation Administration and Air Force hope it will help them identify birds prone to collide with aircraft. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration sees it as a means to track commercial fish and reduce killing of unwanted species also caught by nets.A growing collection of feathers and other remains of birds that collided with planes has provided operational information for the FAA, said Scott Miller, a scientist at the Smithsonian Institution who chairs the consortium's executive committee. They have an almost complete reference database for the North American bird species, Miller said. It is a routine tool that they use.
Elsewhere, the Environmental Protection Agency is testing species barcoding to identify insects and other invertebrates that indicate how healthy rivers and streams are. The Agriculture Department is contributing genetic data it has compiled on fruit flies in an effort help farmers control pests.Among the agencies experimenting with the database, EPA has found that as it grows in size it is becoming more and more useful as a practical tool for identifying species, EPA spokeswoman Jessica Emond said.Scientists call it barcodes to compare it to the supermarket scanner codes that are indecipherable except to machines. But with plants and animals, the scanners look at the specific order of the four basic building blocks of DNA to identify the species.

Users gain free access to a repository of archival genetic material run jointly by U.S., European and Japanese facilities.About 30,000 species have been logged in the database so far, but scientists hope to reach 500,000 within five years. A two-year goal is to have sequenced 2,800 — or about 80 percent — of the 3,500 different species of mosquitoes.Yvonne-Marie Linton of the Natural History Museum in London, said efforts to reduce mosquito populations blamed for up to 500 million human malaria cases and 1 million annual deaths each year are consistently hindered by misidentifying the species responsible.Linton, who heads a project to barcode the mosquito species, said correctly identifying and controlling those carriers of malaria and other mosquito-borne illnesses like dengue fever and the West Nile virus are the key to disease management.Miller said barcoding is basically going to revolutionize the way that mosquito survey and monitoring is done. The consortium is sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of Natural History. It grew out of 2003 research paper in which geneticist Paul Hebert at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, proposed a database of DNA barcodes for identifying all species. Now, the Smithsonian and university share in the barcoding work. On the Net:

WHO: Cholera cases in Iraq keep rising Fri Sep 14, 7:52 PM ET

BAGHDAD - The number of suspected cholera cases in northern Iraq continues to rise, with 16,000 people now showing symptoms, the World Health Organization said Friday. As of Sept. 10, 6,000 have been reported with symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting in the province of Sulaimaniyah, another 7,000 in Tamim province, and 3,000 in Irbil province, the WHO said in a statement. To date 10 people have died and 844 cases of the disease have been confirmed, the WHO said.Earlier in the week, regional authorities reported 11,000 people with symptoms, 700 confirmed cases and 10 deaths.

Cholera is a gastrointestinal disease that is typically spread by drinking contaminated water and can cause severe diarrhea that in extreme cases can lead to fatal dehydration. It broke out in mid-August and has so far been limited to northern Iraq. The WHO reported earlier this week that all public water supply systems in the affected districts have been chlorinated by provincial authorities in an attempt to stop the disease from spreading further.

Palestinian envoy has high hopes for Mideast conference Fri Sep 14, 3:45 PM ET

PRETORIA (AFP) - The special envoy to the Palestinian president said during a visit here Friday that he hoped a US-proposed regional Middle East peace conference would lead to the creation of Palestinian state. There are plans to hold a meeting... We hope this will produce some framework that will allow detailed negotiations on issues of land, water, border, Jerusalem and refugees, Nabil Chaath told a Pretoria press conference. We hope this might be crowned by a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, he said, ahead of a meeting with South African President Thabo Mbeki. And we could have peace through the end of the Israeli occupation and the creation of a Palestinian state.Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met on Monday in Jerusalem for the third time since August 6.They have been trying to reach a framework agreement before an international peace conference sponsored by the United States and expected for November. On Friday, Chaath acknowledged that the military conquest of Gaza has made things very difficult, referring to the June takeover of the territory by Islamist movement Hamas. The Gaza Strip has been divided for months between Hamas fighters and the security forces faithful to Abbas, the head of Fatah. If you put people under severe pressure, siege and humiliation through occupation, their vision of the way out changes, said Chaath. Some see a way out through negotiation and others see the only way out through further conflagration.

US claims Hezbollah still smuggling arms through Syria Fri Sep 14, 11:26 AM ET

BEIRUT (AFP) - The US ambassador to Lebanon said on Friday that there was clear evidence the Shiite militant group Hezbollah was still smuggling weapons across the Syrian border, in violation of UN resolutions. We find the evidence to be strong that arms smuggling is continuing across the Syrian-Lebanese border, Ambassador Jeffrey Feltman told AFP, without giving any specific details. We are concerned by the reports and by the public statements by Hezbollah that Hezbollah has actively rearmed. He added: In our view this poses one of the biggest dangers to Lebanon and it is a violation of the spirit and the letter of a number of Security Council resolutions. The Lebanese Shiite militant and political organization, which is backed by Syria and Iran, is considered a terrorist group by the United States. It had one minister in the Lebanese government until he and five other pro-Syrian ministers resigned last November.

Hezbollah, which claimed its resistance against Israel forced the Jewish state's 2000 withdrawal from south Lebanon, seized two Israeli soldiers in July 2006, sparking last year's devastating 34-day war with Israel. This led subsequently to the reinforcement of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the deployment of the Lebanese army along the tense border zone with Israel for the first time in decades. The militant group, however, was not disarmed and recently said it still had weapons that could reach Israel.Feltman said there were several initiatives under discussion with the Lebanese government on how to put a stop to weapons smuggling.Saying that the international community would respond favourably to any Lebanese government request to help in border security, Feltman said "there are several initiatives under discussion with the government about how best to prevent smuggling, most importantly arms smugglings. He also rejected arguments that controlling Lebanon's border with Syria would amount to interfering in the country's sovereignty.Controlling borders is an assertion of sovereignty, he maintained.

ROSH HODESH START OF MONTH - NEW MOON

HERE ARE THE SCRIPTURES FOR THE SABBATH BEFORE THE START OF THE MONTH - NEW MOON. AND THE SCRIPTURES FOR THE START OF MONTH, NEW MOON (ROSH HODESH)

SHABBAT (SABBATH) SCRIPTURES JUST BEFORE ROSH HODESH

PROPHETS SCRIPTURES

1 SAMUEL 20:18-42 King James Bible
18 Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.
19 And when thou hast stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself when the business was in hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel.
20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark.
21 And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth.
22 But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the LORD hath sent thee away.
23 And as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between thee and me for ever.
24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.
25 And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's place was empty.
26 Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.
27 And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day?
28 And Jonathan answered Saul, David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem: 29 And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favor in thine eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king's table.
30 Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?
31 For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.
32 And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?
33 And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.
34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.
35 And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him.
36 And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.
37 And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee?
38 And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.
39 But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
40 And Jonathan gave his artillery unto his lad, and said unto him, Go, carry them to the city.
41 And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded.
42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.

NEW TESTAMENT SABBATH BEFORE ROSH HODESH SCRIPTURES.

COLOSSIANS 2:16-17
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

REVELATION 21:1-22:5 - King James Bible
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

ROSH HODESH PROPHET SCRIPTURES

ISAIAH 66:1-24 King James Bible
1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES FOR ROSH HODESH (START OF MONTH,NEW MOON).

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

Indonesia's Sumatra has lucky escape from tsunami By Ahmad Pathoni
SEPT 13,2007

BENGKULU, Indonesia (Reuters) - Indonesia's Sumatra island was hit by a series of aftershocks on Thursday after a powerful earthquake toppled hundreds of buildings, killing at least 10 people and burying many others. Authorities said the situation was not as bad as first feared, while a seismologist added that the region was lucky to have escaped a tsunami similar to the one triggered by the more than 9 magnitude quake in 2004 that killed over 280,000 people. The damage is relatively less than feared, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono told reporters on Thursday. However, we still have to do a thorough assessment. People are better at responding to disasters than in previous years.Wednesday's initial 8.4 magnitude quake -- which took place on the eve of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, and was felt in neighboring Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand -- cut communication lines and sparked widespread panic in the hours that followed. That quake and a further 22 tremors ranging in intensity from 4.9 to 7.8 repeatedly set off tsunami warnings in Indian Ocean countries. However there were no reports of major ocean surges hitting coastlines in southeast Asia. There was a tsunami created by the earthquake, it just traveled in a southwest direction away from land," said Mike Turnbull at Central Queensland University.

A separate 6.4 tremor was also reported off Sulawesi island, to the east of Sumatra.

We are grateful for the fact that the situation wasn't as bad as we initially thought it would be, said Muhammad Syamlan, vice governor of Bengkulu province, whose capital Bengkulu was close to the epicenter of the quake.A Reuters photographer in Bengkulu's provincial capital said the situation appeared calm, with shops re-opening and people milling around. The province, one of Indonesia's key coffee-growing regions, has a population of about 1.57 million.

LIVING IN FEAR

The roads in north Bengkulu were lined with tents as residents feared more quakes and did not want to return to their damaged homes. People huddled by fires outdoors to keep warm in the drizzling rain. When the first quake struck, we ran out of our house. Then we returned to the house to sleep but another big quake hit, so we ran out again. Since then we have been afraid, said Erfan Riyanto, a driver.Rustam Pakaya, head of the Indonesian health ministry's crisis centre in Jakarta, said 10 people had been killed and 51 injured across the region. The North Bengkulu area has been identified as the worst hit with half the area destroyed, he said.In Bengkulu, nearly 800 houses collapsed and many more were damaged, but the full extent of the quake was still unknown because of the difficulty of reaching or contacting some areas. The mayor of Padang, the capital of West Sumatra, told Reuters many people were trapped under collapsed buildings.Indonesia suffers frequent quakes, as it lies on an active seismic belt on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire.(Additional reporting by Harry Suhartono, Adhityani Arga, and Telly Nathalia in Jakarta, John Nedi in Padang, Beawiharta in Bengkulu and Michael Perry in Sydney)

Humberto kills one as Texas border blasted By Bruce Nichols SEPT 13,07

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Hurricane Humberto spared Houston but blasted the Texas-Louisiana border area on Thursday, killing one person, shutting down three refineries and cutting power to 100,000 customers. If Houston got a pass, we got the fast-ball strike, said Greg Fountain, coordinator for Jefferson County emergency management serving the Beaumont-Port Arthur area in southeastern Texas.Humberto grew to hurricane status quicker than forecasters had expected but weakened after a few hours over land and was reclassified again as a tropical storm. The hurricane was blamed for the death of an 80-year-old man in Bridge City, between Beaumont and Port Arthur. He was killed when his patio canopy fell on him at the height of the storm, a Bridge City police spokesman said.At 11 a.m. EDT (1500 GMT) Humberto was 75 miles west-northwest of Lafayette, Louisiana, with sustained winds of about 65 mph (100 km). Rain accumulations of 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 cm) were expected across much of Louisiana, Mississippi and part of Arkansas, with 12 inches (30 cm) possible in some spots.

Part of Humberto's target zone still was recovering from Hurricane Rita, which hit the Texas-Louisiana border in 2005 three weeks after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.Power was out to more than 100,000 customers and damage to trees, homes and outbuildings was reported in a wide area from west of Beaumont to west of Lake Charles, Louisiana, officials said. In Orange, Texas, police dispatcher Tina Crowning reported power was out to 99 percent of the city and said water was knee-deep in some spots.Total Petrochemicals USA, Valero Energy Corp. and Motiva Enterprises LLC refineries in Port Arthur were shut down by power outages.Waterways into the Beaumont-Port Arthur and Lake Charles areas remained closed to ship traffic late Thursday morning. Houston's vital ship channel from the Gulf of Mexico was reopened after the danger passed.Houston and Lake Charles, which are major refining centers like Beaumont-Port Arthur, appeared to have escaped the worst. We were fortunate this time, said Dinah Massie Martinez, spokeswoman for Houston Transtar, a multi-agency emergency office. In between Houston and Lake Charles, it was a different story as towns such as Bridge City, Texas, and Vinton, Louisiana, faced downed power lines and roads closed due to high water. But the main artery through the area, Interstate 10, remained open, officials said.

The storm came ashore early Thursday with 85-mph (137-kph) winds in southeastern Texas and still packed a punch as it moved into southwestern Louisiana. We're getting reports that it could be, in certain areas, fairly substantial damage because of loss of power, damage to houses, tree limbs down, Fountain said. The storm blew down a tree at Fountain's house and knocked a portable building off its blocks nearby, he said.Total Petrochemicals USA's 232,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Port Arthur was closed by a power failure early Thursday but operations were expected to resume later in the day.Ship pilots shut down traffic on the Sabine-Neches Waterway serving Beaumont and Port Arthur and on the Calcasieu Ship Channel serving Lake Charles.

It's sloppy, rough, the Lake Charles pilot dispatcher said.

The storm, which brewed up in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday, made landfall near High Island, about 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Galveston, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. Humberto was the third hurricane of the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season, and was dwarfed by its ferocious Category 5 predecessors Dean and Felix. They struck Mexico and Central America, respectively, with Felix killing at least 130 people.

ISAIAH 28:14-19 (THIS IS THE 7 YR TREATY COVENANT OF DANIEL 9:27)
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces:(HES A MILITARY GINIUS) and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds (CONTROL HEZBOLLAH,AL-QUAIDA MURDERERS ETC) with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many,(HIS ARMY LEADERS) and shall divide the land for gain.

8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

ISAIAH 24:17-23 KJV
17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

PA: Israel Agrees to Destroy Jewish Towns, Starting in November
by Hillel Fendel SEPT 12,07

(IsraelNN.com) The Palestinian Authority's Maan news agency has published a copy, in Hebrew, of PM Olmert's agreement to expel tens of thousands of Jews and replace them with a Palestinian state. The report states that Israel has agreed to begin destroying Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria immediately following the US-sponsored international summit this coming November. The PA claims that the document's eight points represent the principles of agreement between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, in anticipation of the upcoming Middle East summit.

The document begins by stating that Israel and the PA are to immediately enter a process that will lead to the formation of two states, Israel and Palestine, side by side, and are to reach understandings of the type detailed below. The eight points upon which Olmert and Abbas undertake to agree are the following:

1. Israel will end the occupation of the West Bank within an agreed-upon time period. The retreat and the evacuation of the settlements will occur gradually and in several stages. Each area that is evacuated will be transferred to the Palestinian Authority, which will instill law and order there. The existence of a regime in Gaza that is willing to be part of the peace process will enable Israel to view Gaza and the West Bank as one political entity.

2. An unarmed Palestinian state will be established, whose permanent borders will be based on the pre-1967 borders. The precise border will reflect security, demographic and humanitarian needs. An exchange of territory will be enabled on a 1:1 basis, to preserve settlement blocs in Israeli hands and to guarantee Palestinian contiguity and economic development.

3. There will be two capitals in Jerusalem, that of Israel and that of Palestine, and they will be sovereign over the Jewish and Arab neighborhoods, respectively. The two municipalities will cooperate for the enhancement of the quality of life of all the residents.

4. Special arrangements will be emplaced to preserve free access to all the holy sites of the various religions. A special administration will be established to maintain the two nations' bonds with the holy sites in the Old City of Jerusalem.

5. Palestine will be recognized as the national home of the Palestinian nation, and Israel will be recognized as the national home of the Jewish nation.

6. A fair and agreed solution will be found for the problem of the Palestinian refugees, with consideration and recognition of the suffering that was caused to them, and with the understanding that the implementation of national self-definition will be the main aspect of the solution.

7. The two sides will declare their willingness to end the conflict and to act to increase public support for the agreement as much as possible. The two sides will act with all their force, together and separately, against any manifestation of violence and terrorism that is directed from the area of either state to the other.

8. The two sides see this agreement as a significant manifestation of the principles of the Arab League's peace initiative, and call upon the members of the League to take operative steps to bring about its full implementation. Similarly, the sides call upon the entities represented in the Quartet and international community to guarantee and help, in various ways, to promote and actualize this agreement.

The agreement ends with this paragraph:

A document based on principles of the above type must be reached before the international summit in November, must be presented during the summit, and must be anchored in international decisions after it. Immediately following the summit, parallel with the negotiations for a detailed agreement, Israel will begin withdrawing its forces and evacuating settlements from areas in the West Bank. Completion of the various stages of evacuation will be done parallel to the completion of the negotiations.

Clauses 3 and 4 indicate that Israel has agreed to give up the Temple Mount, Judaism's most sacred spot in the world, and allow an administration to determine when Jews would be allowed to visit or pray there.

Clauses 1 and 2 do not take into account the tremendous amount of Arab-held weaponry already present in Judea and Samaria, nor the anti-Israel violence emanating from Gaza that increased dramatically upon Israel's withdrawal in 2005.

Clause 6 leaves open the possibility that Right of Return refugees would be allowed to live in Israel.

The immediate response of the Yesha Council (the body representing the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria) was this: Only a government that acts so totally wantonly would be able to suggest such an agreement, precisely on the day that dozens of its soldiers are wounded from a rocket fired from area we gave over to the Palestinians. The Yesha Council calls upon all those to whom Israel's security and welfare are of top priority to object to this calamitous process of Olmert. The Knesset Members must thwart this program, which means the division of Jerusalem, as well as Kassam rocket launchers to the outskirts of Kfar Saba and Ben Gurion International Airport.

5800-year-old Syria mass grave suggests massive bloody urban conflict
By ANI - Sunday September 9, 04:16 PM

Washington, Sept 9 (ANI): Archaeologists have found a prehistoric mass grave dating back to 5800 years in Syria, evidence that the region witnessed a bloody urban conflict of mammoth proportions during that time. The researchers unearthed the remains of more than 60 young adults from two sites about 40 feet (12 feet) apart in the ancient city of Tell Brak near the modern-day Iraq border.Augusta McMahon, field director of excavations at the archaeological site said, the bodies were probably the result of a bloody massacre that happened as warring factions battled over the Stone Age settlement. She said, given the density of human bones found so far, the final body count would likely reach around hundred. She said at the time of the conflict, Tell Brak (also known as Brak), was one of the world's oldest known cities, and was expanding rapidly, which made it a tempting prize for enemies abroad as well as for internal factions seeking control. McMahon said the wounds and the way the bodies were buried, suggested the victims died a violent death.

They were mostly from their late teens through to their mid-30s. This is the healthy part of the population-not the people who should be dying, said McMahon. She said the bodies also appeared to have been severely decomposed by the time of burial, suggesting they'd been exposed for some time. She said the skeletons had hands and feet missing, and their skulls were unattached, while limb bones were found gathered in piles.Under normal circumstances, the dead would have been buried with a certain amount of care and fairly rapidly, with grave offerings and so on, McMahon said.
No ornaments or weapons were also found with the bodies. It does look as if, after everyone died, that somebody has gone through the battlefield and extracted things of value, she said. She said the archaeological team also discovered large quantities of broken pottery vessels along with bones from goats, sheep, and up to 200 cattle over the dead, which suggested a huge feast.Such an event may represent a celebration of the victors over the vanquished or mark an act of remembrance. There's definitely a feast, but whether it's a great victory celebration or it's the commemoration of a battle in which a lot of locals died, that's something we're not yet quite sure of, McMahon said. The team is now planning to conduct a carbon and nitrogen isotope analysis of the victims' teeth to get a idea of the diet, which will provide clue as to whether those buried lived locally or not.

Other recent finds at Tell Brak may explain why the city was worth fighting over, McMahon added. The research is scheduled for publication later this year in the archaeology journal Iraq, reports National Geographic. (ANI)

DANIEL 7:23-24
23 Thus he said, The fourth beast(THE EU,REVIVED ROME) shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,(7TH WORLD EMPIRE) which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.(TR BLOCKS)

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.(7 HEADS ARE THE 7TH WORLD EMPIRE IN HISTORY (THE EU) AS WELL AS THE VATICAN WHICH IS BUILT ON 7 HILLS. 10 HORNS ARE 10 KINGS THAT ARISE FROM THE EU, THEN #11 COMES ON THE SCENE BECOMES THE HEAD OF 3 OUNTRIES AND THEN THE EU DICTATOR, COMES FROM 1 OF THE 3 COUNTRIES THAT RULE FOR THIS TERM. I BELIEVE THE 3 COUNTRIES RULING AT THE TIME ARE SPAIN AND 2 OF THE ORIGINAL 6 THAT STARTED THE EU. FROM 1 OF THESE 3 COUNTRIES COME THE FUTURE EU DICTATOR PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION WHO GUARENTEES ISRAELS SECURITY FOR A LAND FOR PEACE 7 YEAR TREATY.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.(THE JEWISH EU DICTATOR GETS HIS POWER FROM SATAN,HE COMES FROM THE OCCULT).

37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,(THIS EU DICTATOR IS A EUROPEAN JEW) nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces:(HES A MILITARY GINIUS) and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

Zelikow: Expect change in Middle East diplomacy
Former Rice counselor speaks at Miller Center
By Bob Gibson / bgibson@dailyprogress.com | 978-7243
September 11, 2007

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is preparing to engage in a new round of Middle Eastern diplomacy that will be more daring than policies based on a failed roadmap for Israeli-Palestinian peace, her former counselor for the past two years, Philip D. Zelikow, said Monday in Charlottesville.Zelikow, a University of Virginia history professor and former director of UVa’s Miller Center of Public Affairs, said Middle East peace talks based on frameworks talking about freedom and democracy and talking about terrorism have been tried for a generation. You can see how well that’s worked, Zelikow told a Miller Center audience. It’s been problematic. It’s had its ups and downs and right now it might be in a little bit of a trough.Zelikow said the framework that Rice will advance is more visionary than incremental and should be given a chance to succeed. He likened her role to a tightrope act.Secretary Rice is clearly going to be attempting something very ambitious, Zelikow said. The conventional wisdom in Washington is that she will fail, but he offered the advice that he said a friend learned as a child at the circus.

When someone was on the high wire, you didn’t stand up and boo, he said.Rather than continuing an incremental approach toward a roadmap for a two-state solution, the United States needs to do more in active international leadership, Zelikow said following an address on various challenges of globalization.Waiting for Palestinians to get their house in order would be like waiting for Godot. He ain’t coming, the former director of the 9/11 Commission said in reference to the Samuel Beckett play in which characters wait for a man, Godot, who never arrives. We need to do more, Zelikow said. We need to have a vision” that includes developing an end-state of common interests. The challenges of globalization, which is notably unpopular around the world, require leading nations to adopt a better framework for handling disputes than a superpower wielding its hegemony or engaging in a balance of power, he argued.

The leading nations of the world need to join in pursuing common interests while respecting local choices, Zelikow said of the essence of that framework. To defeat barbarism and preserve world civilization - an “ever more powerful global cosmopolitan web that separate civilizations have woven together in globalization - people must have respect for the identities of others, he said.Embracing limited government, cooperative prosperity, mutual security and stewardship of the planet also are keys to preserving civilization, Zelikow said.World opinion holds globalization in contempt as a threat, he cautioned.People fear they are being swept along by forces that are beyond their control, beyond their country’s control and even beyond their understanding, he said. Only 18 percent of Americans in a recent poll had a positive view of globalization, which 48 percent viewed negatively and 34 percent were undecided about.Yet barbarism exists in the world and feeds on simplistic answers that appeal usually to blood, soil or God.

ISRAEL STRIKES ARMS SHIPMENT TO LEBANON, SPOTS NUCLEAR FACILITIES IN SYRIA, AND DAMASCUS VOWS TO RETALIATE By Joel C. Rosenberg

(WASHINGTON, D.C., September 12, 2007) -- The New York Times is reporting this morning that Israeli warplanes attacked a Syrian target last week, most likely Iranian arms being shipped through Syria to Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. But the paper is also reporting something far more disturbing: Israel has recently carried out reconnaissance flights over Syria, taking pictures of possible nuclear installations that Israeli officials believed might have been supplied with material from North Korea. The Israelis think North Korea is selling to Iran and Syria what little they have left, the official said. Syria, meanwhile, is vowing to retaliate against Israel, accelerating the possibility of a horrific new war in the region, one that U.S. and Israeli officials have been concerned about for months.

Significantly, a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman called Israel's strike in Syria a very dangerous provocation little short of wantonly violating the sovereignty of Syria and seriously harassing the regional peace and security....The Democratic People's Republic of Korea strongly denounces the above-said intrusion and extends full support and solidarity to the Syrian people in their just cause to defend the national security and the regional peace. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz notes that the only countries that have expressed solidarity with Syria are Iran and North Korea, while Russia issued a condemnation of sorts.

JOSHUA FUND UPDATE:

* In our first year (August 2006 to August 2007), The Joshua Fund helped ship more than $1.5 million worth of humanitarian relief to Israel in the name of Jesus. We worked through such strategic allies as The Joseph Project, Bridges For Peace, the Jerusalem Institute for Justice, and many others. This aid included food, clothing, pots and pans, furniture, medical supplies, construction supplies, wheelchairs, toys for children, and more. During one project in Kiryat Shmona, a town of some 25,000 along the northern border with Lebanon that was hit with 1,000 missiles during last summer's war, we were able to bless about 3,500 needy Israelis -- including 700 elderly Jews. We were also able to help finance the distribution of more than 5,000 new school bags filled with study supplies to underprivileged elementary school students in Jerusalem, and a Passover 2007 project which distributed 620 food packages to needy families in the holy city.

* This past year, The Joshua Fund also sent nearly $200,000 worth of humanitarian aid to poor and needy Palestinian and Lebanese families. In Lebanon, for example, TJF partnered with established evangelical Christian ministries to provide relief packages for some 6,000 Arab families devastated by the war. The packages included non-perishable food items such as beans, rice, pasta, canned meat, processed cheese, oil, and powdered milk. In addition, each package contains basic supplies such as soap, candles, matches, and aspirin, and a JESUS film DVD in Arabic. TJF provided funds to the Palestinian Bible Society to feed needy children in Gaza after the Society's Bible bookstore was bombed by local radicals. TJF recently did a food distribution project with 110 needy families from the South Lebanon Army who have asked for political asylum in Israel. We helped a Palestinian radio station broadcasting Christian Bible teaching triple its range, enabling its broadcasts to be heard in English and Arabic all of the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem. We have also provided funds to care for the families of three Turkish Christian workers murdered by jihadists earlier this year.

* Currently, we are partnering with The Joseph Project to rent, outfit, staff, stock, and run a 24,000 square foot warehouse facility north of Tel Aviv. The Joseph Project, an initiative of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, has distributed more than $70 million worth of aid to poor and needy Israelis since it opened in 2000. It works through some 250 government run aid centers, 30 aid centers run by Messianic believers, as well as Israeli hospitals, the military, and various social services organizations. The problem is that the group's current 16,000 square foot warehouse facility is completely maxed out with goods that we and other organizations are helping them pre-position before the next war. By acquiring this new, larger facility, we will be able to help The Joseph Project stockpile more supplies, as well as continue distributing humanitarian relief supplies to the poor and needy throughout the holy land. Nearly one-in-four Israelis currently live below the poverty level (only $800 a month or less for a family of four). A new report just released found that some 35% of all Israeli children live in poverty. Renting and operating this new warehouse will cost $1.8 million over the next three years. This month, The Joshua Fund needs to raise $500,000 to secure this facility and get it up and running quickly, before hostilities break out. In light of the latest troubling developments in the region, we would be deeply grateful for your prayers and financial help. Thanks so much and God bless you!

EZEKIEL 38:1-3
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog,(RULER) the land of Magog,(RUSSIA) the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW)and Tubal,(TOBOLSK) and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech(MOSCOW) and Tubal.

EZEKIEL 39:1-8
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog,(LEADER OF RUSSIA) and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech (MOSCOW) and Tubal: (TUBOLSK)
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts,(RUSSIA) and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands,( ARABS) and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog,(NUCLEAR BOMB) and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

JOEL 2:3,20,30-31
3 A fire(NUCLEAR BOMB) devoureth before them;(RUSSIA-ARABS) and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army,(RUSSIA,MUSLIMS) and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.(SIBERIAN DESERT)
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.(NUCLEAR BOMB)
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Russia-US talks on missile shield made no progress: Moscow SEPT 13,07

MOSCOW (AFP) - Negotiations in Paris earlier this week between the United States and Russia on a controversial planned US missile shield in central Europe failed to make headway, Russian's foreign ministry said Thursday. I could not say that there has been great progress, said Deputy Minister Sergei Kislyak, who led the Russian delegation at the talks, agency Ria Novosti reported.Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday he was optimistic that a deal could be reached with the United States to resolve the dispute. The US presented new proposals during Monday's Paris meeting in order to counter stiff opposition by Moscow. The two parties will meet again on October 3 in Moscow, US Assistant Secretary of State for international security and nonproliferation John Rood said in Paris on Monday. The United States wants to set up a tracking radar base in the Czech Republic and interceptor missiles in Poland as part of a shield that it maintains could help thwart potential attacks from Iran or North Korea.Moscow says the US defence plan poses a threat to its security, and has accused Washington of wanting to create a new Berlin Wall.

L'Shanah Tova (Happy New Year) Stan,
Rosh HaShanah SEPT 13,07

This is a Hebrew term meaning the head of the year applied to the Jewish New Year observance. Rosh HaShanah is celebrated on the first and second days of the month of Tishrei (September-October), and marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Penitence.
Rosh HaShanah, traditionally regarded as the first day of Creation, is also called Yom ha-Zikaron (The Day of Remembrance), and Yom ha-Din (Day of Judgment), in which God remembers all His creatures and passes judgment on all human beings, thus determining their lot for the year to come. Rosh HaShanah is also named Yom Teruach (The Day of the Blowing of the Ram's Horn) as a symbol of God's summons to the people for self-judgment and self-improvement. During the entire month of Elul it is customary to sound the Shofar in the synagogue as a solemn announcement of the approach of Rosh HaShanah. The days of Rosh HaShanah are devoted to prayer, solemn festivities and rest from work. At mealtime it is customary to eat sweets, such as apples and honey, as a symbol of the hope for a sweet and good year to come.

NUMBERS 29

Feast of Trumpets - September 13

1 On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets.
2 As an aroma pleasing to the LORD , prepare a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.
3 With the bull prepare a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;
4 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.
5 Include one male goat as a sin offering to make atonement for you.
6 These are in addition to the monthly and daily burnt offerings with their grain offerings and drink offerings as specified. They are offerings made to the LORD by fire - a pleasing aroma.

Day of Atonement ~ September 22

7 On the tenth day of this seventh month hold a sacred assembly. You must deny yourselves and do no work.
8 Present as an aroma pleasing to the LORD a burnt offering of one young bull, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.
9 With the bull prepare a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil; with the ram, two-tenths;
10 and with each of the seven lambs, one-tenth.
11 Include one male goat as a sin offering, in addition to the sin offering for atonement and the regular burnt offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.

The Kaparot (covering/sin offering) ritual held on the eve of Yom Kippur in Jerusalem's ultra-orthodox neighborhood of Mea She'arim. Because the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70AD, and the sacrifices no longer take place, some orthodox Jews hold a tradition of saying prayers and slaughtering a chicken. The Kaparot ritual involves taking a chicken (a rooster for a man and a hen for a woman) or money in your right hand and revolving it over your head while reciting a prayer. The prayer finishes with the following declaration:

This is my exchange, this is my substitute, this is my atonement. This chicken will go to its death (or, if using money, this money will go to charity) while I will enter and proceed to a good long life, and peace. The chicken is then slaughtered and it (or its cash value) is given to the poor. Unlike Orthodox Jews, as Believers in Yeshua we rejoice on Yom Kippur knowing that Messiah Yeshua has taken away our sins.

Yom Kippur in the time of Yeshua (JESUS)

When the first and second Temples were standing in Jerusalem, the High Priest (Kohen Gadol) would remove his ordinary priestly robes and take a ritual bath, then he would put on special white clothes. After offering the ordinary morning sacrifice, he would offer a young bullock to atone for his own sins, as he could not intercede for the people of Israel until his own sins were atoned for. He would then carry incense into the Holy of Holies, and then return to the altar to get blood from the sacrifice, which he would sprinkle on the lid of the Ark of the Covenant (Mercy Seat) and seven times on the ground in front of the ark. After this he would sacrifice a goat for the sins of the people, and sprinkle its blood on the ark and in front of it, as he had done with the blood of the bullock. This made atonement for the Holy of Holies. Next, he provided atonement for the tabernacle by sprinkling the blood of both animals on the horns of the altar once, and seven times on the ground around it. This is where it begins to get exciting. . .

The Azazel (Scapegoat) - After this, the high priest would go out into the Temple court and lay his hands over the head of the scapegoat, confessing over it the sins of the people of Israel. Then the goat would be taken outside the city and released into the wilderness. This symbolized the removal (carrying away) of the sins from the people of Israel. According to the Talmud, a scarlet cord was tied around the neck of the scapegoat. This cord was reported to have turned white as the goat was led away from the city. The Babylonian Talmud records that for the last forty years before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. - that would have been just about the time Yeshua was offered up as the final sacrifice - the scarlet cord around the neck of the scapegoat failed to turn white. In Yeshua, all our sins are carried away as far as east is from west (Psalm 103:12). Yeshua is not only our High Priest, but He is also the final sacrifice who has taken away our sins.

Because of that, Your Name is Written in the Book of Life.

Imagine, if in all the synagogues around the world, the rabbis were discussing the links between the scarlet cord, the scapegoat, and Yeshua. And imagine if in all the synagogues during the fall holidays they were actually reading about how Yeshua fulfilled the Jewish festivals revealed in our Messianic Prophecy Bible.

ROSH HASHANA DAY 2 SCRIPTURES

BEFORE WE GET TO ROSH HASHANA DAY 2 SCRIPTURES, HERES THE SCRIPTURES OF THE 7 YR TREATY I BELIEVE WILL BE SIGNED ON THIS DAY IN THE FUTURE AS WELL AS THE RETURN TO EARTH LITERALLY OF JESUS AND THE RAPTURED CHRISTIANS 7 YEARS LATER. AS WELL AS THE JUDGEMENT OF THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD AS TO HOW THEY TREATED THE ISRAELIS A MONTH OR SO LATER IN THE FUTURE.

THE 7 YR TREATY SCRIPTURES ON THIS DAY IN THE FUTURE.

Heres the scripture 1 week = 7 yrs

Genesis 29:27-29
27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

DANIEL 9:27 (THIS IS THE TREATY)
27 And he( THE ROMAN,EU PRESIDENT) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:(1X7=7 YEARS) and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,(3 1/2 yrs in TEMPLE SACRIFICES STOPPED) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

THE 2ND OCCURENCE ON ROSH HASHANA IN THE FUTURE IS THE LITERAL,VISUAL, BODILY RETURN TO EARTH OF JESUS AND THE RAPTURED CHRISTIANS 7 YEARS LATER EXACTLY TO JUDGE THE NATIONS AND TO RULE FOR 1000 YEARS , THEN FOREVER FROM JERUSALEM WHICH THEN BECOMES THE WORLD CAPITAL NOT JUST THE ISRAELIS CAPITAL.

AT THE END OF THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION, THE TRUE MESSIAH JESUS RETURNS TO EARTH BODILY TO RULE AND REIGN FROM DAVIDS THRONE FOREVER AND WE COME BACK WITH HIM ON WHITE HORSES.

ACTS 1:10-11
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

JOEL 3:2
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

ZECHARIAH 14:4
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

REVELATION 19:11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

JUDE 14-16
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

AND 45 DAYS LATER IN THE FUTURE AFTER THIS DATE AFTER THE FUTURE 7 YEAR TREATY AND BODILY RETURN TO EARTH OF THE TRUE MESSIAH. THE JUDGENMENT OF THE NATIONS.

DANIEL 12:8-13
8 And I (DANIEL) heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, (at the 3 1/2 yr mark of the 7 yr treaty) and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

MATTHEW 25:31-46
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

ROSH HASHANA DAY 2 SCRIPTURES TORAH

Genesis 22:1-24 - King James Bible
1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
20 And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
21 Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
22 And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
23 And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, she bare also Tebah, and Gaham, and Thahash, and Maachah.

NUMBERS 29:1-6 - King James Bible
1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savor unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish:
3 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram,
4 And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:
5 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you:
6 Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savor, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

DAY 2 ROSH HASHANA PROPHETS SCRIPTURES

Jeremiah 31:1-19 - King James Bible
1 At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.
7 For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.
9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
11 For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.
12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.
15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.
18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

ROSH HASHANA DAY 2 NEW TESTAMENT SCRIPTURES

1 THESSOLONIANS 4:13-18 King James Bible
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

REVELATION CHAPTERS 8:1-13, 9:1-21 - King James Bible
1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

HEBREWS 11:17-19 King James Bible
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
