Palestinian victims describe being used as shields by Hamas

Members of a Gaza family whose farm was turned into a "fortress" by Hamas fighters have reported that they were helpless to stop Hamas from using them as human shields. They described how for years Hamas has used their property and homes as shields for military installations from which to launch rockets into Israel, dig tunnels and store arms. According to the victims, those who tried to object were shot in the legs by Hamas.

The following is the full text of the comments by Hamas representative Fathi Hammad months before the war, articulating the Hamas ideology to use civilians as human shields for Hamas fighters:"For the Palestinian people death has become an industry, at which women excel and so do all people on this land: the elderly excel, the Jihad fighters excel, and the children excel. Accordingly [Palestinians] created a human shield of women, children, the elderly and the Jihad fighters against the Zionist bombing machine, as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: 'We desire death as you desire life.'"

ZEPHANIAH 2:1-7
1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
2  Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.
3  Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
4  For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.(ITS NO ACCIDENT THAT IN THIS GAZA WAR ITS ASHKELON-ASHDOD AND THE MURDERER HAMAS IN GAZA WERE MOST OF THE BOMBING ARE)(THIS IS PROPHECY COMING TO PASS BIGTIME)

6  And the sea coast (GAZA) shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.
7  And the coast (GAZA) shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;(ISRAEL) they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.(BY THIS PROPHECY I PREDICT ISRAEL WILL RETAKE GAZA SO ISRAELIS AROUND THE WORLD CAN IMMIGRATE THERE AND BUILD HOMES AND LIVE)

30  And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.
31  Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina,(ARABS) art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.
32  What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion,(JERUSALEM) and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

11  And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog (RUSSIA-ARAB-MUSLIMS) a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.(THE ARAB-MUSLIM-RUSSIA BURRIAL SPOT WILL BE EAST OF THE DEAD SEA IN THE JORDAN VALLEY)

15  And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
16  And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
17  And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
18  Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

20  Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

Israel Police pursue political motive in disappearance of U.S. student-Yeshiva student Aaron Sofer, 23, went missing on Friday during a hike with a friend in a forest outside Jerusalem.By Haaretz    | Aug. 26, 2014 | 12:09 PM

The Israel Police have not ruled out a possible terrorist attack as they continue their intensive search for a missing American yeshiva student in a forest outside Jerusalem.Aaron Sofer, 23, of Lakewood, New Jersey, a student at a yeshiva, or Jewish religious school, has been missing since Friday when he went hiking with a friend in the Jerusalem Forest.Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said on Tuesday that the police were pursuing all avenues in their investigation, including "nationalistic motives," a phrase tied to the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants. An unconfirmed report in the Israeli press said that police had found personal items that could belong to Sofer and had ordered civilians to leave the area of the find.Sofer and his friend became separated when they were making their way down a steep incline. The friend called police when Sofer did not show up to prepare for Shabbat, according to reports.Earlier, New Jersey politicians called for more help from both the U.S. and Israeli governments in the search for Sofer."I want the community to know that I believe no stone is being unturned," said U.S. Rep. Chris Smith, a Republican, who has written to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry asking for aid in the search.Sofer's mother and father, a rabbi and a school office worker, have flown to Israel to assist in the search. "Please bring him back," pleaded Sofer's brother Yaakov, during a gathering in Lakewood, NJ. Aaron Sofer is one of 10 children. The Sofer family spokesman noted that an Arab teenager, Muhammad Abu Khdeir, was killed in the same forest last month. The police have charged three Jewish teenagers in connection with that killing. The spokesman told the Jerusalem Post that the killing of Abu Khdeir, compounded by heightened tensions with the Palestinians, created cause for alarm about Sofer.

Ceasefire Begins, But Rockets Still Rain Down on Israel-Israeli government accepts Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal, starting from 7 p.m. Israel-time; Bennett opposes truce. Rockets still falling.By Ari Yashar and Ari Soffer-First Publish: 8/26/2014, 4:30 PM / Last Update: 8/26/2014, 7:06 PM-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

The Israeli government has officially accepted an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire deal to go into effect at 7 p.m. Israel-time (16:00 GMT).Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu informed cabinet ministers of the decision via a telephone call, just minutes before it was to go into effect. Economics Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) voiced his opposition to the truce, saying the government needed to crush Gazan terrorist groups.Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas announced news of the ceasefire at a televised speech in Ramallah."We announce the Palestinian leadership's agreement to Egypt's call for a comprehensive and lasting truce, beginning at 7:00 pm (1600 GMT) today," he said at the start of a meeting of the PA's leadership. But despite the declarations terrorists in Gaza continued to launch rocket and mortar attacks even after the ceasefire took effect. At approximately 7:05 p.m. Red Alert sirens sounded in the Gaza Belt region, followed by yet more sirens minutes later. At 7:15 p.m. more rocket sirens were sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council area, further breaching the declared ceasefire.

"Durable" truce?

The announcement ends more than a day of speculation over an impending truce, with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday night called together senior security sources to discuss a long-term ceasefire with Hamas and other Gazan terrorists as proposed by Egypt, and Palestinian Authority (PA) sources on Tuesday afternoon claiming Israel had finally agreed to the truce.A senior PA official told AFP that a "permanent" ceasefire for Gaza has been reached with Israel, saying "the contacts that have been going on have agreed a permanent ceasefire, a (deal to) end the blockade and a guarantee that Gaza's demands and needs will be met."The agreement seeks to put a "durable" end to seven weeks of bloodshed in and around the Gaza Strip, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.News of the ceasefire came as Hamas terrorists continue to shower rockets on Israeli civilian centers Tuesday. In an attack just prior to the announcement, one civilian was killed and six others wounded in a rocket and mortar barrage on the Eshkol Region in southern Israel.Mahmoud Abbas and Egypt are poised to announce the ceasefire in Gaza and, separately, the implementation of Abbas's new "national initiative" on Tuesday, according to senior PA sources who spoke with Walla!.The US has already voiced its opposition to Abbas's "plan," which essentially consists of asking the United Nations to set a deadline for Israel to withdraw behind the 1949 Armistice lines, and make way for the establishment of "Palestine." Apparently Abbas intends to present his plan in Ramallah on Tuesday night. The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire reportedly will follow in the footsteps of the ceasefire reached after the 2012 Operation Pillar of Defense, and leave issues such as a sea and airport in Gaza for discussions a month after the truce.

So who won?

Aside from the PA, Hamas and Islamic Jihad have also indicated that a ceasefire is imminent, with the sources saying Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has accepted the truce.Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal's deputy Moussa Abu Marzouk said Tuesday "the negotiations have concluded. We've reached understandings and the resistance has won. We are waiting for a cessation of the aggression."Haniyeh was quoted on Hamas TV as saying "we are close to a political understanding," praising the "firm position of our people." Islamic Jihad leader Khaled al-Batash likewise added that "mere hours remain until the declaration of a ceasefire."Despite the talk of a Hamas victory, the terror organization has taken a hard blow in a recent string of assassinations since it breached the last ceasefire last Tuesday.Among those taken out were Hamas's top financial chief Mohammed al-Ghoul, and three top commanders of Hamas's "military wing," the Al-Qassam Brigades. Those strikes are said to have triggered "panic" among Hamas ranks, and sparked a bloody campaign of executions of suspected informants.Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif was also targeted in a strike last Tuesday night; there are mixed reports as to whether it found it's mark, with Hamas claiming he survived what would be the fifth attempt on his life by Israel, but not saying anything about his condition. According to reports, Israel knew the location of the arch-terrorist as many as three days ahead of the strike, but chose not to act on the rare opportunity to take him out due to the ceasefire. As early as Monday morning Islamic Jihad was said to have been pushing for a ceasefire; the Iranian proxy group has also sustained serious damage in the course of 50 days of fighting. There has been growing frustration against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Israel about the lack of decisive action against Hamas in the IDF operation, now on its 50th day, as well as the willingness to make repeated ceasefires that have in turn been breached by Hamas. That frustration was illustrated in a survey for Channel 2, which found on Monday that in just four days Netanyahu's approval rating dropped from 55% to 38%; at the time of the ground entry to Gaza earlier in the operation, that rating was as high as 82%.Adding to that assessment was Barak Seener, an Associate fellow at Britain's Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies, who told Arutz Sheva on Monday that Israel is “choosing not to win” the war in Gaza, saying the Jewish state "should not subject itself to norms and procedures that no military of any western liberal democracy would ever consider."

Ministers Critical Over Ceasefire with Hamas-Bennett and Livni both oppose giving Hamas achievements at end of Gaza operation; Livni again calls for two state solution.By Arutz Sheva Staff-First Publish: 8/26/2014, 7:29 PM / Last Update: 8/26/2014, 7:44 PM-ISRAEL NATIONAL NEWS

Harsh criticism has met the decision by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to accept a long-term ceasefire with Hamas starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, which was accompanied by a massive rocket and mortar barrage that left one Israeli dead.Netanyahu informed members of the Security Cabinet about the decision through telephone calls, to which Economics Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) reportedly expressed his opposition to the move.Bennett argued that Israel should not be holding negotiations with a terror organization or make agreements with them. His position has in the past garnered a reprimand by Netanyahu.Likud MK and former Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon - who was fired recently by Netanyahu for his outspoken criticism of the PM - was also quick to condemn the deal."In the Middle East restraint is interpreted as weakness," he said in a statement."Despite the heavy price we did not defeat Hamas. 50 days of fighting, 64 (soldiers killed), five civilians killed, 82,000 reserve soldiers drafted and at the end of the whole thing we return to the understandings of 'Pillar of Defense'," he continued, referring to the fact that the ceasefire deal is said to mirror that which followed Israel's last counterterrorism operation, Pillar of Defense, in 2012.He added that Israel should have send a message "to the entire Middle East, including Hezbollah, ISIS and Iran, that you don't mess with Israel.""I'm afraid that in this matter we did not do enough," he went on, calling for a period of "national reflection"."The policy of restraint and hesitancy hampered Israel's deterrent capability. The next round is just a matter of time," he concluded, saying that next time Israel needed "to defeat Hamas".Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) likewise criticized talk of a ceasefire earlier on Tuesday, speaking at a legal conference in Ashkelon where a home suffered a direct hit in the morning hours."The end of the operation doesn't need to come with significant diplomatic achievements for Hamas," said Livni, defining the group as being "imbued with an extremist ideology that doesn't allow it to reach an agreement with us.""A ceasefire in my opinion cannot be part of just another round (of fighting), but we must find the path through which the end to the operation will be part of a general agreement with those that want a two state solution," suggested Livni.Livni was tasked as negotiator in the peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) that broke down in April after the PA signed a unity agreement with Hamas.

U.S. Drafts UN Resolution on Gaza Ceasefire-Diplomats say Washington has prepared draft outline for resolution demanding a ceasefire, working on it with other countries.By Arutz Sheva Staff-First Publish: 8/26/2014, 3:13 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

The United States has prepared its own draft outline for a UN resolution demanding a ceasefire between in Gaza, Reuters reported on Monday.Diplomats told the news agency that Washington is now working with European powers and Jordan on a joint text for the resolution.U.S. officials and diplomats from other UN member states said that Washington had presented a small group of countries with its own draft elements for a Security Council resolution after Jordan offered one last month and Britain, France and Germany wrote another ceasefire proposal last week."The U.S. has come up with its own draft," said one UN diplomat, who declined to be named. "It's quite different from the two others. Now they're working to combine the drafts and come up with a common text."The U.S. officials and other diplomats declined to speak about details in the U.S. draft, though several said it was not acceptable on its own."We'll work on coming up with a single draft," another UN diplomat said, according to Reuters. "What's important is that the Americans are engaging and there's a new momentum in pushing for a ceasefire resolution in the Security Council that would be better than previous ones."An Israeli official said "this is still under negotiation" and that there was no draft ready yet for the Security Council. Diplomats said Israel received the draft over the weekend. Egypt is also being consulted.UN diplomats said Washington and Israel appeared increasingly open to the idea of the council demanding a ceasefire.Last week, the Security Council urged Israel and the Palestinian Arabs to return to the negotiating table to quickly agree on a lasting truce in Gaza. The 15-member council "offered full support to the Egyptian initiative and called upon the parties to resume negotiations to urgently reach a sustainable and lasting ceasefire."News of Washington’s resolution comes amid reports that Egypt is offering Hamas and Israel a new, month-long ceasefire, but Israel has yet to agree.

Egypt 'Awaiting' Israel's Response to Month-Long Ceasefire-Senior sources in Cairo say Egypt is still waiting for Israel to respond to its proposal for a month-long in Gaza.By Elad Benari-First Publish: 8/26/2014, 2:16 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Egypt is reportedly offering Hamas and Israel a new, month-long ceasefire, but Israel has yet to agree, media outlets reported on Monday.According to Army Radio, as part of the emerging truce, Israel will open the border crossings to Gaza and slightly increase the fishing area off the coast of Gaza.Senior sources in Cairo were quoted in the report as having said that "Egypt awaits the Israeli response to the offer to hold fire for a month."According to the sources, the Palestinian side has agreed to the proposal.Diplomatic sources in Jerusalem meanwhile, were quoted by Army Radio as having said that Hamas must first of all officially approve the Egyptian proposal and then Israel will give provide its answer.Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said on Monday night that the Egyptian-mediated talks were progressing, but that Israel has yet to present a reply to the latest offer."Until now we have not received an Israeli answer to the formula presented by Egypt", Abu Zuhri told the Al Jazeera network, adding that "the ball is in Israel's court.""If the enemy wants to continue negotiations under fire, we are also prepared for this possibility, but we prefer that the negotiations are exhausted and for a ceasefire to be agreed upon.”Earlier Monday it was reported that Israel was set to accept the indefinite ceasefire with Gazan terrorist groups, which will last for a minimum of one month. An Israeli source told the Walla! news website that the ceasefire would be an “open-ended" one.Meanwhile, the rocket fire from Gaza continued on Monday. 130 rockets were fired from Gaza throughout the day, of which 16 were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. One rocket exploded next to a swimming pool in a community in the Eshkol region. It caused damage to the facility but hurt no one. Other rockets exploded in open areas.

Netanyahu's Approval Rating Plummets Dramatically-Poll finds only 38% of Israelis satisfied with PM, as opposed to 82% at start of Gaza operation; neglect of south raises ire.By Ari Yashar-First Publish: 8/25/2014, 10:59 PM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

A new poll released by the Hebrew-language Channel 2 news site on Monday reveals that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's approval rating has fallen as a "casualty" in the faltering Operation Protective Edge. The poll, conducted by Shiluv Millward Brown and iPanel for the news source, found in the last four days Netanyahu's support has taken a sharp nose-dive.A mere 38% of Israelis responded that they are satisfied with Netanyahu, as opposed to 50% who are dissatisfied. Just four days earlier, Netanyahu's support stood at 55%.The sudden dive corresponds to a period during which four-year-old Daniel Tragerman hy''d was murdered by mortar fire in his Kibbutz Nahal Oz home last Friday, possibly contributing to a feeling of government neglect in providing security to its citizens. The poll adds that three weeks ago Netanyahu's support was at 63%; towards the beginning of the operation early last month when the IDF began its ground entry to Gaza that it later withdrew, that support was at a whopping 82%.A University of Haifa poll late last month likewise found that Netanyahu's support had spiked at the start of the operation, showing that 65% were "very satisfied" with Netanyahu's handling of the operation, 20% were "satisfied" and only 10% "not satisfied."However, that support has dipped as Netanyahu continues to be unable to take decisive action against Hamas in an operation that started July 8, while making numerous ceasefire agreements that Hamas repeatedly breaks, and "softening" ministers to Israeli concessions. Ironically, US President Barack Obama told the New York Times earlier this month in an interview that Netanyahu had too much public support, and that he needed internal pressure - not to defend Israel, but rather to make land concessions to the Palestinian Authority (PA).Disapproval over an abandonment of the south.A cause for the growing disapproval was touched on in the Channel 2 poll, which found that 68% of Israelis feel the government's treatment of residents of the Gaza Belt region has been bad, as opposed to a mere 24% who feel enough has been done to secure them.Around 80% of Gaza Belt residents have been forced to flee their homes for over a month and a half during the operation; the parents of four-year-old Daniel Tragerman announced Monday that they would be permanently leaving their home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz after their son's murder.Another point of contention is the school year, which is set to begin next week. Education Minister Shai Piron (Yesh Atid) has insisted the school year will start as scheduled, but several local regional councils are refusing the government's orders in light of the security situation, accusing it of ignoring their reality.Only 18% of respondents to the poll agreed with opening the school year as normal throughout Israel, with 63% saying only the southern region should remain closed, and 15% saying as long as the security situation continues the school year should not begin anywhere in Israel. There has been growing unrest against the government for not defining clearer goals in the operation to take decisive action and remove the security threat from Gaza, an unrest expressed recently by protesters, Former IDF Chief Rabbi Avichai Ronski, ex-MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and many others.Barak Seener, an Associate fellow at Britain's Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies, told Arutz Sheva on Monday that Israel is “choosing not to win” the war in Gaza, saying the Jewish state "should not subject itself to norms and procedures that no military of any western liberal democracy would ever consider."

Israeli air strike wrecks Gaza tower, wounds 20 people-Reuters-AUG 25,14-YAHOONEWS

GAZA (Reuters) - An Israeli air strike on Tuesday destroyed much of one of Gaza's tallest apartment and office buildings, setting off huge explosions and wounding 20 people, Palestinian health officials said.Israel had no immediate comment on the attack.Seventy families lived in the building, which also housed offices and a shopping complex. Fatalities were averted by warnings issued to residents to vacate the premises and two non-explosive warning missiles fired by drones.Four missiles fired at the 13-storey building made it list to one side. Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal threatened on Sunday that his group will not only continue attacking Israel from Gaza, but will also launch attacks from Judea and Samaria as well.In an interview with Iranian media, Mashaal claimed that Gaza has been under attack for fifty days but was able to disrupt the plans of the "Zionists".He further claimed that the Palestinian Arab side had offered a ceasefire but Israel made verbal maneuvers in order to avoid agreeing to it.Mashaal reiterated the Palestinian side's conditions for a ceasefire, including the lifting of the blockade, full opening of border crossings, construction of a seaport and airport, transfer of funds to and from Gaza, the passage of goods and people between Gaza and Judea and Samaria, releasing Palestinian Arabs who were released in the Shalit deal and re-arrested, and for Israel not to interfere with the operations of the national unity government between Hamas and Fatah. The current war, Mashaal said, differs from its predecessors in the length and the scope of the Israeli attacks which, he said, led to the deaths of more than 2,000 people and the wounding of more than 10,000.He further claimed that the Israeli "crimes" in Gaza are far more serious than the crimes allegedly committed during the Holocaust. He stressed that this is a war of wills, and that the Palestinian people's advantage is that they are willing to absorb the heat while realizing that the powers of the "resistance" are fighting Israel and that the day will come when “the Zionists will leave our land.”Mashaal then warned that given the "crimes" committed by Israel in the Judea and Samaria, it is likely to face resistance by means of acts of terror in that region as well.
The comments come after weekend meetings between Mashaal and Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Doha.On Friday, the two urged the United Nations to draw up a "timetable" for “the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories to end.”Just last week, it was cleared for publication that the Hamas headquarters in Turkey ordered a large-scale coup of Abbas's new PA government by destabilizing the political and security situation through a series of terror attacks on Israelis.Abbas later said the information could have lasting implications for the Palestinian Arab people. The unity government itself has been slowly crumbling over the past two months, after differences of opinion have surfaced over several issues, including the war in Gaza, reactions to the abduction and murder of three Israeli teenagers, and the delayed payment of wages for government workers in Gaza in the weeks leading up to the current conflict.

Abbas to Present 'Deadline' for Israel to 'End Occupation'-PA head plans to ask the UN to set a deadline for Israel to withdraw to pre-1967 borders.By Elad Benari-First Publish: 8/25/2014, 4:16 AM-ISRAELNATIONALNEWS

Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is continuing his quest to unilaterally achieve a Palestinian state, in contradiction to the Oslo Accords.Aides to Abbas on Sunday told The Associated Press (AP) that he will soon appeal to the international community to set a deadline for Israel to withdraw back to the pre-1967 borders and make way for an independent Palestinian state.Abbas is expected to unveil his proposal as part of a "day after" plan following the current war in Gaza, likely at a meeting of the Palestinian leadership on Tuesday, said the aides, who spoke on condition of anonymity. With no end in sight to the fighting, Abbas has been searching for ways to assert himself on the international stage. He is seeking a foothold back in Gaza, which was captured from his forces by Hamas seven years ago, and is eager to show the Palestinian Arab public he is working to end the fighting and lead them to independence, according to AP.One official said that Abbas has grown disillusioned after two decades of failed efforts to reach a negotiated peace settlement with Israel. He told the news agency the Palestinian Arabs want a "fixed date" for an Israeli withdrawal from lands claimed by the Palestinians and a timetable for establishing a Palestinian state. In an interview on Egyptian television over the weekend, Abbas said he would soon present his plans to Arab, American and European leaders."It is an unconventional solution, but I will not declare a war on Israel. It is a political and diplomatic solution," he was quoted by AP as having said.He declined to elaborate, saying only that he would tell the United Nations in an address next month that the Palestinians want independence immediately."Otherwise, this opportunity will be lost forever," he said.An aide to Abbas said the plan would include an appeal to the Security Council, whose resolutions are legally binding, to “call for an end to Israel's occupation” of lands captured in the 1967 Six Day War.In 2012, the PA unilaterally turned to the United Nations and received recognition as a non-member observer state by the General Assembly.Since then, the PA has threatened several times that if peace talks fail, it would turn to international institutions and seek to sue Israel in the International Criminal Court. In April, the PA requested to join 15 international agencies in breach of the conditions of the peace talks that were going on with Israel at that time.In response, Israel cancelled the fourth terrorist release "gesture" and subsequently pulled out of the talks altogether, after the PA signed a unity pact with Hamas.
