JAMES 5:1-3
1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

US stocks, oil prices sink after China currency move-Associated Press-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks are opening lower, led by declines in energy and materials stocks as commodities prices drop.Prices for oil and copper fell sharply Tuesday after China's government lowered the value of its currency.Trade has been weakening in China and investors are seeing the government's move to weaken its currency as a sign of sluggishness in China's economy. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 168 points, or 1 percent, to 17,445.The Standard & Poor's 500 index lost 15 points, or 0.8 percent, to 2,088. The Nasdaq declined 23 points, or 0.5 percent, to 5,079.Bond prices rose. The yield on the benchmark 10-year note fell to 2.16 percent.

China Devalues Its Currency as Worries Rise About Economic Slowdown-By NEIL GOUGH and KEITH BRADSHERAUG. 10, 2015.NEW YORK TIMES

HONG KONG — As China contends with an economic slowdown and a stock market slump, the authorities on Tuesday sharply devalued the country’s currency, the renminbi, a move that could raise geopolitical tensions and weigh on growth elsewhere. The central bank set the official value of the renminbi nearly 2 percent weaker against the dollar. The devaluation is the largest since China’s modern exchange-rate system was introduced at the start of 1994.China’s abrupt devaluation is the clearest sign yet of mounting concern in Beijing that the country could fall short of its goal of roughly 7 percent economic growth this year. Growth is faltering despite heavy pressure on state-owned banks to lend money readily to companies willing to invest in new factories and equipment, and despite a stepped-up tempo of government spending on high-speed rail lines and other infrastructure projects.A steep drop in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets in late June and early July, only halted by aggressive government actions, appears to have dented consumer demand within China. Automakers, typically a bellwether of demand, have announced declines in sales last month; Ford China, for example, said last Friday that its sales had fallen 6 percent last month compared with July of last year.China’s devaluation represents a difficult dilemma for the Obama administration. The United States Treasury has tried to use quiet diplomacy in recent years to encourage China to free up its currency policies, while blocking efforts in Congress to punish China for major intervention in currency markets over the past decade to slow the rise of the renminbi. Many in Congress have long accused China of unfairly building up its manufacturing sector at the expense of American jobs by undervaluing the renminbi, and the Chinese devaluation could fan those criticisms. In a seeming nod to such concerns, the central bank said that it would begin to use the market closing, not the previous morning’s official setting, to calculate the renminbi’s official daily fixing against the dollar. But China’s economic weakness now means that further opening up of the currency to market forces could mean a weaker renminbi, not a stronger one. That, in turn, would make Chinese goods even more competitive in the United States and Europe.China’s central bank “has finally thrown in the towel on supporting the renminbi,” said Eswar S. Prasad, a professor of economics at Cornell University. At the same time, he added, easing its grip on the currency’s value “has blunted criticism by combining the currency devaluation with a more market-determined exchange rate.” The United States and institutions such as the International Monetary Fund have called on China to be more hands-off in managing the renminbi. The Chinese currency has been a global point of contention for nearly a decade. China officially ended the renminbi’s fixed peg to the dollar in 2005. Since then, it has risen in two long, slow climbs. The first was from July 2005 to August 2008, when it was interrupted by the global financial crisis. The renminbi then resumed its rise from June 2010 to early last year, when it dipped slightly, then stabilized. The overall increase since 2005 has been more than 25 percent against the dollar. It has strengthened even more against other major currencies, like the euro and the yen.But the Chinese currency is not freely tradable, and its movements are tightly controlled by the government. Each morning in Shanghai, China’s central bank sets a midpoint for the renminbi’s value against the dollar and other major currencies. This can be as much as 2 percent higher or lower than the previous day’s value, although the change is almost always a tiny fraction of 1 percent. But on Tuesday, the central bank fixed the value of the renminbi at 6.2298 per dollar, down 1.9 percent from Monday’s official fixing. In a statement on its website, the central bank said it was seeking “to perfect” the renminbi’s exchange rate against the dollar. The bank, the People’s Bank of China, said it was reacting to trends in the market, where traders in recent months had been betting on a weaker renminbi. In trading in mainland China on Tuesday, the renminbi weakened further to close at 6.3231 per dollar, a drop of 1.8 percent from the close on Monday. By the end of the Asian business day, it had fallen even further in offshore trading to around 6.36 renminbi per dollar, a drop of about 2.7 percent, signaling overseas investors expected further weakening. The move also jolted the currencies of countries that depend heavily on China as a market for exports. The Australian dollar fell 1.1 percent against the United States dollar on Tuesday, and the South Korean won declined 1.4 percent.“While China’s policy makers have long suggested that foreign exchange reforms would happen, the abrupt nature of today’s announcement has injected considerable volatility into the renminbi and other Asian currencies,” analysts at HSBC wrote Tuesday in a research note. The central bank also said it would seek to prevent what it described as “abnormal” capital flows. Weaker economic growth has prompted sizable outflows from China in recent months, which have most likely been exacerbated by the country’s stock market volatility. A falling renminbi generally increases the risk of more outflows. While China grew at a 7 percent rate in the first half of the year, that was made possible mainly because of a boost from the financial services industry, which benefited from the country’s stock market boom. With the downturn in the nation’s markets over the past two months, growth is slowing more evidently. This is despite an all-out effort by the government to prop up share prices. The measures included extraordinary support from state-run banks, which in July made new loans worth 1.5 trillion renminbi, or about $240 billion at the time, according to data released Tuesday. The last time Chinese banks approached that amount of lending was 2009, when Beijing was deploying 4 trillion renminbi in stimulus to stem the damage from the global financial crisis.A depreciating renminbi also has implications for China’s pledges to open its economy and financial markets wider, including efforts in recent years to lift the currency’s global prominence. The central bank has been lobbying the International Monetary Fund to include the renminbi among freely traded benchmarks like the dollar, euro and yen, so that other countries can include it as an official reserve currency. While acknowledging these efforts, the fund issued a report last week saying that “significant work remains outstanding” before it could decide whether to include the renminbi as a global benchmark, adding that no changes were likely to be made before September of next year. The fund also singled out China’s official daily fixing of the renminbi’s exchange rate, saying this “is not based on actual market trades.”Tuesday’s devaluation “is likely intended to improve the ‘market-driven’ quality” of the exchange rate to appeal to the I.M.F., Wang Tao, the chief China economist at UBS, wrote Tuesday in a research note.“However, we think it unlikely that the Chinese government will let only market momentum drive the renminbi exchange rate from now on,” Ms. Wang added, “as that can be quite destabilizing.”A version of this article appears in print on August 11, 2015, on page B1 of the New York edition with the headline: China Moves to Weaken Currency.

PROVERBS 21:29-31
29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.
30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.(FOR ISRAEL)

EXODUS 15:1-4
1  Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
2  The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
3  The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
4  Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

MUSLIM NATIONS (SLAUGHTERED BY NUKES FOR COMING AGAINST ISRAEL)

EZEKIEL 29:1-12-put russia-arab-muslims in place of egypt-their judgements here.
1 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2  Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
3  Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
4  But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.
5  And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.
6  And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
7  When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
8  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.
9  And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.
10  Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
11  No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
12  And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

MH17 investigators find 'possible' BUK missile fragments-AFP-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

The Hague (AFP) - Investigators probing the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine said Tuesday they had identified pieces that "possibly" come from a Russian-made BUK missile, where the plane crashed.International and Dutch investigators are probing "several parts, possibly originating from a BUK surface-air-missile system," said a joint statement from prosecutors and the Dutch Safety Board (OVV)."These parts have been secured during a previous recovery-mission in eastern Ukraine and are in possession of the criminal investigation team and the Dutch Safety Board," it said.Asked whether the parts were found at the crash site, Dutch public prosecutor spokesman Wim de Bruin told AFP he could not be more specific than "in eastern Ukraine".Flight MH17 was shot down on July 17 last year, killing all 298 people on board during heavy fighting between Kiev's armed forces and pro-Russian separatists.Ukraine and many in the West have accused pro-Russian rebels of shooting down the plane, saying they may have used a BUK missile supplied by Russia.Russia and the rebels deny any responsibility and point the finger at Ukraine's military.Members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) comprising representatives from the Netherlands, Ukraine, Malaysia, Australia, Britain, the United States and Russia are currently meeting in The Hague to discuss a draft OVV report into what caused the crash.- Children on board -The statement from the OVV and JIT said that the pieces being investigated "can possibly provide more information about who was involved in the crash of MH17."For that reason the JIT further investigates the origin of these parts. The JIT will internationally enlist the help of experts, among others forensic specialists and weapon-experts," it said.Investigators stressed that "at present the conclusion cannot be drawn that there is a casual connection between the discovered parts and the crash of flight MH17."The Boeing 777 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was blown out of the sky, killing all 298 people on board, two-thirds of them Dutch and many of them children starting their summer holidays.Russia last month vetoed a bid at the United Nations Security Council to set up an international tribunal to try those behind the shooting down.Countries involved in that bid are now looking at other means to carry out a prosecution, although no suspects have yet been publicly identified or detained. The OVV is to release its final report into what, but not who, downed the aircraft in October.

Russia, Saudis fail in talks to agree on fate of Syria's Assad-Reuters By Katya Golubkova and Gabriela Baczynska-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia and Saudi Arabia failed in talks on Tuesday to overcome their differences on the fate of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a central dispute in Syria's civil war that shows no sign of abating despite renewed diplomacy.Russia is pushing for a coalition to fight Islamic State insurgents -- who have seized swathes of northern and eastern Syria -- that would involve Assad, a longtime ally of Moscow. But, speaking after talks in Moscow, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir reiterated Riyadh's stance that Assad must go."A key reason behind the emergence of Islamic State was the actions of Assad who directed his arms at his nation, not Islamic State," Jubeir told a news conference after talks with Russia's Sergei Lavrov."Assad is part of the problem, not part of the solution to the Syrian crisis... There is no place for Assad in the future of Syria," he said.An uprising against four decades of Assad family rule broke out in 2011 and evolved into civil war in which Islamist militants have become the strongest element fighting Damascus. Saudi Arabia is part of a U.S.-led regional coalition conducting air strikes on Islamic State positions in Syria and neighboring Iraq, but Lavrov said this was not likely to successfully combat the ultra-radical Sunni movement.Jubeir and Lavrov said they discussed bringing various opposition groups closer together to improve their chances in facing Islamic State and better coordinate in international talks on solving the conflict."The talks are about... coordinating all those who are already fighting terrorists so that they put their main focus on fighting terrorism and leave for later settling scores between themselves," Lavrov said in describing Russia's proposal."More coordinated efforts on the ground would help reach the goal," he said, adding that this covered the Iraqi and Syrian armies, Kurdish forces and some armed Syrian opposition groups.Lavrov said anti-Islamic State forces united on the ground should have wide international backing. But Jubeir specifically ruled out any coalition with Assad and tension between the ministers was often visible during the conference.Lavrov still said some "early details" have started to emerge under the Russian proposal but gave no further detail. He said Moscow would hold separate talks with Syrian opposition representatives including the Syrian National Coalition and Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union in coming days.Moscow is looking to host another round of talks between Damascus and various Syrian opposition groups. Two rounds of such consultations have failed to yield any breakthroughs. The two ministers also discussed possible Saudi purchases of Russian arms in the context of a planned visit by the Saudi king to Russia.(Reporting by Katya Golubkova; Writing by Gabriela Baczynska)

Turkish air strikes hit 17 Kurdish militant targets, military says-Reuters By Ece Toksabay and and Seymus Cakan-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

ANKARA/DIYARBAKIR (Reuters) - Turkish warplanes hit 17 Kurdish militant targets in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Monday and Tuesday, the military said, as it ratchets up an offensive against the insurgents.Turkey has been buffeted by increased fighting between its military and the outlawed Kurdistan People's Party (PKK), which has waged a three-decade insurgency for greater Kurdish autonomy. On Tuesday, the PKK claimed responsibility for Monday's bombing of an Istanbul police station in which four people died, three of them attackers. The bombing was one of a wave of attacks on Turkish security forces that have killed at least nine people. In a statement published online, the PKK called for a focus on attacks that "damage the enemy" rather than just sacrificing the fighter.NATO member Turkey started what it called a "synchronized war on terror" last month, attacking PKK militants in northern Iraq and, less frequently, Islamic State insurgents in northern Syria.By largely focusing on the PKK - both in Iraq and at home - Ankara has raised suspicions among Kurds that its real agenda is to check Kurdish territorial ambitions rather than battle hardline Islamists. The air strikes in Hakkari followed operations on Sunday in the eastern Agri province, which killed seven PKK militants, according to the local governor's office. In ground fighting, security sources said the PKK attacked a military station in Sirnak, a province adjacent to Hakkari, and killed one soldier in a 20-minute battle. One PKK militant was killed in a clash in Bingol province, the local governor's office said.(Additional reporting by Orhan Coskun in Ankara; Writing by David Dolan; Editing by Nick Tattersall/Larry King)

Anti-Houthi Fighters advance into central Yemeni city-Reuters-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

SANAA (Reuters) - Militiamen clashed with Yemen's dominant Houthi group inside the city of Ibb on Tuesday, residents said, in their latest significant advance into territory the Houthis had held unopposed for months. The local tribal fighters advanced into the central city, home to around 200,000 people, from two surrounding rural areas and set up checkpoints at its entrances. Residents reached by phone reported hearing heavy gunfire.Yemen has been torn by over four months of civil war between supporters of its exiled government and the Houthis, who hold the capital Sanaa and much of the north.A Gulf Arab military alliance intervened in late March just as the Iran-allied Houthis entered the southern port of Aden and appeared poised to capture the last bastion of resistance to what they view as a revolution against corrupt officials. The coalition is keen to repel perceived influence by arch-rival Iran on the Arabian Peninsula.Yemen's government, driven into exile in Saudi Arabia, has been cheered by a series of important victories by southern fighters since Aden was retaken last month with the help of heavy Arab air strikes and weapons deliveries.Clashes with Houthi forces also raged on Tuesday in the central provinces of al-Bayda and Shabwa, where local militiamen appeared to be gaining the upper hand backed by warplanes from Gulf states bombing from the air.Exiled officials have pledged to gradually resume their presence on Yemeni soil, beginning from their newly-won base in the south.Foreign diplomats have pleaded for a political solution to the fighting which has killed over 4,300 people and warned that war is devastating the impoverished country.Peter Maurer, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross said after a three-day visit to Yemen on Tuesday the country was "crumbling" and a U.N. investigator said sieges imposed by combatants were causing starvation.Hilal Elver, United Nations special rapporteur on the right to food, warned that "deliberate starvation of civilians" caught in armed conflict might constitute a war crime.(Reporting by Mohammed Ghobari and Stephanie Nebehay; Writing by Noah Browning; Editing by Andrew Roche)

French court to rule on pork school dinners for Jews and Muslims-AFP-AUG 11,15-YAHOO NEWS

Dijon (France) (AFP) - A French court will rule this week on the decision by a right-wing mayor to ban non-pork meals in schools for Muslims and Jews, his lawyer said Tuesday.Mayor Gilles Platret announced in March that pupils in his town of Chalon-sur-Saone near Dijon in eastern France would no longer be guaranteed a non-pork option at lunchtime from the start of the next school year in September. It triggered controversy across the country, including within his Republican party, led by former president Nicolas Sarkozy.Education Minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem accused Platret of "taking children hostage" with his politics.A legal complaint was filed by the Muslim Judicial Defence League, whose lawyer, Karim Achoui, said "a child would be extremely traumatised if a pork cutlet was served to him and he was obliged to eat it after he has been repeatedly told from a young age that it's forbidden food."- 'Integration not assimilation' -Another member of the group, Jean-Baptiste Jacquenet-Poillot, said the removing of non-pork options was a breach of France's stringent laws on secularism, which were about "integration, not assimilation".The mayor's lawyer responded in a statement to the court that the laws on secularism did not oblige authorities to "provide everyone what they need to exercise their religion".But many see the decision as pandering to anti-immigrant sentiment at a time of heightened tensions over jihadist attacks.Last year, far-right leader Marine Le Pen said schools would no longer offer non-pork alternatives in towns that elected her National Front party.Platret has argued that 40 percent of children in the town's schools did not eat meat at all because it was not halal, and made up for it with extra vegetables.Alternatives to pork have been offered in the town's schools -- as they are across much of France -- since 1984.France is thought to have the largest Muslim and Jewish populations in Europe, although its secularism laws prevent the government from collecting data on religious affiliation.

Rivers hardest hit by Colorado mine waste spill to stay closed until Aug. 17-Reuters By Steve Gorman-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS
(Reuters) - Two rivers in Colorado and New Mexico hardest hit by contamination from toxic wastewater spilled from a defunct gold mine will remain closed to drinking water and irrigation intakes for at least another week, U.S. environmental officials said. The San Juan River and its northern tributary, the Animas River, have been fouled by the release of more than 3 million gallons (11.3 million liters) of acid mine drainage inadvertently triggered by a team of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) workers last week. The discharge has continued to flow at the rate of 500 gallons (1,900 liters) per minute from the site of the century-old Gold King Mine, near the town of Silverton in southwestern Colorado, into a stream below called Cement Creek. The wastewater has then washed into the Animas River and into San Jan River in northwestern New Mexico. The orange-tinged contamination plume, containing heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury and lead, has dissipated through dilution as it spreads downstream, with its leading edge no longer visible from aerial surveys, the EPA said. However, experts say a long-term concern is the deposit of heavy metals from the spill that have settled into river sediments, where they can be churned up and unleash a new wave of pollution when storms hit or rivers run at flood stage. An unspecified number of residents who live downstream from the mine and draw their drinking supplies from private wells have reported water discoloration, but there has been no immediate evidence of harm to humans, livestock or wildlife, according to EPA officials.Still, residents have been advised to avoid drinking or bathing in water drawn from wells in the vicinity. Two Colorado municipalities, including the city of Durango, and the New Mexico towns of Aztec and Farmington have shut off their river intakes, the EPA said.EPA officials said on Monday the Animas and San Juan rivers would remain closed until at least Aug. 17 to drinking, irrigation supply, fishing and boating as experts try to gauge safety risks posed by the spill.Wastewater continues to pour from a tunnel wall accidentally breached by EPA crews last Wednesday but the concentration of heavy metals reaching local streams has diminished.Emergency treatment of the effluent by diverting it into settling ponds before it empties into Cement Creek has reduced acidity and metal levels in the creek, the EPA said. The creek's water quality was already badly degraded from a long history of acid mine drainage in the area, EPA officials acknowledge. The conservation group American Rivers says Colorado has more than 4,000 abandoned mines, about 1,100 of them around Silverton, which it calls "ticking time bombs."The Navajo Nation has also been affected. Its sprawling reservation is traversed by the San Juan River, which flows through southeastern Utah into Lake Powell. It was uncertain how far significant contamination from the spill would travel.(Reporting by Steve Gorman in Los Angeles; Editing by Paul Tait)

NYC mayor wants new laws to stem Legionnaires' as death toll hits 12-Reuters By Katie Reilly-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, reacting to a deadly outbreak of Legionnaires' disease, proposed legislation on Monday to register and maintain the city's estimated 2,500 cooling towers, some of which are being blamed for the illness. On Monday the death toll was raised to 12 from 10 on Saturday and the number of cases to 113 from 108. Officials said the higher figures stem from new reporting, not new deaths or cases."All levels of government have been in close coordination and now we are turning our attention to ensuring we can handle any such outbreak in the future and, in fact, prevent any such outbreak," de Blasio said at a press conference on Monday. The proposal comes as both city and state health officials work to find and disinfect every cooling tower in the city. In the South Bronx area, inspectors have found 39 such towers, 12 of which have tested positive for Legionella, the bacteria that causes Legionnaires' when it is inhaled through mist.De Blasio said 22 of the identified cooling towers have tested negative for the bacteria, and five are still awaiting results. He said all will be disinfected by Monday night.City health officials said the last time a person became sick with Legionnaires' was a week ago on Aug. 3, and that the outbreak has peaked. On Saturday, Governor Andrew Cuomo, in partnership with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sent state health workers to help inspect cooling towers in the South Bronx, a move that prompted political questions because of its overlap with the mayor's response to the outbreak. But de Blasio said on Monday that health experts at all levels are working together."The politicians are not the issue here. The issue is the people who know the facts, are they working together constantly? The answer is yes," he said.(Editing by Eric Walsh)

China pledges continued support for Ebola-hit Africa nations-Associated Press By JONATHAN PAYE-LAYLEH and BOUBACAR DIALLO-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

CONAKRY, Guinea (AP) — China's foreign minister has pledged continued support to the three West African countries hardest hit by the Ebola outbreak that has killed more than 11,200 people.Minister Wang Yi ended his tour in Guinea on Monday after visiting Sierra Leone and Liberia. He met with Guinea President Alpha Conde and said he would encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in the post-Ebola economy to construct ports, roads, railways and help with water supply needs, according to a Guinea government statement. In Liberia on Sunday, Wang said Liberia is a good example of how China supports countries in Africa."You will see houses and roads built by China and Chinese companies helping the people of Liberia," he said through a translator. "China is ready to continue to play that role and shoulder the responsibility." China was one of the first to fly in badly needed medical gear when Ebola spread last year.China has provided at least $121 million in cash and supplies to fight the disease in West Africa. It also sent dozens of army doctors and hundreds of army medical workers.Wang said China plans to build government offices and investigate a possible steel-making project in Liberia. In Sierra Leone, Wang met with President Ernest Bai Koroma Saturday to discuss Sierra Leone's development and public health needs, according to a government statement. He also discussed investments in mining, industrialization, fishing and construction. In Liberia, Wang criticized countries that provide assistance but pass judgment, an apparent reaction to President Barack Obama's recent speech to the African Union which included comments on corruption." Whether a certain government is corrupt or not, it's not to be judged by outsiders, but only by the people," he said.___Paye-Layleh reported from Monrovia, Liberia. Associated Press writer Clarence Roy-Macaulay contributed from Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Progress reported in fighting Arizona blaze as western fires rage-Reuters By David Schwartz- AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

PHOENIX (Reuters) - Firefighters battling a major wildfire in northwestern Arizona on Monday reported progress in containing the blaze that forced people out of about 1,000 homes and charred about 6,100 acres (2,468 hectares). The Willow fire in the Mohave Valley, about 30 miles (48 km)southeast of Bullhead City, Arizona, was 40 percent contained by late Monday, officials said."We're definitely encouraged by what we're seeing right now," said Dolores Garcia, a Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman. "We're just waiting to see if the lines we have on the ground will hold."The fire was one of dozens burning across the drought-parched U.S. West on Monday, many of them started by lightning strikes. In California, a firefighter died fighting a lightning-sparked blaze in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Lake Tahoe on Saturday.Strong winds were expected to increase the risk of fire in Northern California for several days beginning Monday, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said. The agency responded to nearly 250 new wildfires last week, spokesman Kendal E. Bortisser said. The fast-moving Willow fire started on Saturday and, aided by strong winds, has roared through salt cedar, mesquite, willow, grass and brush, forcing the evacuation of six housing subdivisions and other residences.Fire officials said evacuation orders were lifted for all but about 75 dwellings on Monday. An American Red Cross shelter has been set up at a nearby elementary school for affected residents. The fire was sparked by lightning on Bureau of Indian Affairs land near the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, said Robyn Broyles, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho.Active blazes have also been reported in Washington and Oregon. In Washington, the Wolverine fire has burned 28,725 acres in the northern Cascade mountains and is 20 percent contained. A camping area and 360 people have been evacuated from the year-round Lutheran retreat of Holden Village, Interagency Coordination Center spokeswoman Carol Connolly said.In southern Oregon, firefighters have made significant progress on the massive Stouts Creek Fire. The blaze is about 40 percent contained, the Oregon Department of Forestry said.(Additional reporting by Shelby Sebens in Portland, Oregon and Sharon Bernstein in Sacramento, California; Editing by Sharon Bernstein and Mohammad Zargham)

OZONE DEPLETION JUDGEMENT ON THE EARTH DUE TO SIN

ISAIAH 30:26-27
26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold,(7X OR 7-DEGREES HOTTER) as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people,(ISRAEL) and healeth the stroke of their wound.
27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:

MATTHEW 24:21-22,29
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake (ISRAELS SAKE) those days shall be shortened (Daylight hours shortened)
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

REVELATION 16:7-9
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Texas power demand breaks record again in heat wave-Reuters-AUG 11,15-YAHOONEWS

(Reuters) - The Texas power grid operator said electric demand hit another record high on Monday as consumers cranked up their air conditioners to escape a brutal heat wave.Demand reached a record 69,783 megawatts on Monday, topping the previous records of 68,912 MW set on Aug. 6 and 68,459 MW on Aug. 5, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) said in a statement. ERCOT is the grid operator for most of the state. Before the latest heat wave, the grid's previous peak demand was 68,305 MW set on Aug. 3, 2011. One MW is enough to power about 200 homes during periods of peak demand."Demand is expected to remain high until temperatures begin to break at the end of the week," said Dan Woodfin, ERCOT director of System Operations.Temperatures in Houston, the biggest city in Texas, have topped 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 Celsius) since Sunday and were expected to remain at or around triple digits Fahrenheit through Saturday, Aug. 15, according to weather forecaster AccuWeather.com."Our focus continues to be on ensuring we maintain overall reliability and protect the grid, while having sufficient generation in place to meet demand," he said. There are more than 73,000 MW of generation in the grid, according to the ERCOT website. ERCOT said the region's more than 13,000 MW of wind generation contributed up to 2,400 MW during Monday's peak. Some of the biggest power companies in Texas include units of Energy Future Holdings, CenterPoint Energy Inc, American Electric Power Co Inc, NRG Energy Inc, Exelon Corp and NextEra Energy Inc.(Reporting by Scott DiSavino; Editing by Peter Galloway)
