Shocking New Study Reveals Just How Many Muslims Support ISIS (And It’s Frightening)-WESTERN JOURNAL-This isn't the first time a study seemed to show that Muslims agree with or lean toward Islamic extremism.Warner Todd Huston July 3, 2015 at 11:46am

Yet another poll of “regular” Muslims seems to show that a shockingly high number actually agree with Muslim extremism. This time, a poll finds that a whopping 42 million support the creation of a worldwide caliphate, an Islamic order that would outlaw all other religions. Many non-Muslims console themselves with the assumption that “most Muslims” don’t support extremism or terrorism. But nearly every time a poll is taken, this notion that Muslims stand four square against extremism is shot down.According to Ryan Mauro of the Clarion Project, this new study should serve as a warning about Muslim extremism. With these results, “ISIS is only a fraction of what it could potentially become,” Mauro said.“If we don’t act quickly, this is still going to grow,” he continued, “and what we’re looking at today is going to look like the good old days compared to the future.”This isn’t the first time a study seemed to show that Muslims agree with or lean toward Islamic extremism.A recent study of British Muslims found that fully a third felt that the British government was at fault for the radicalization of young Muslims, not Islam, not ISIS, and not al Qaeda. Britain isn’t alone. A new study of U.S. Muslims conducted last month by the Center for Security Policy found that a large number of American Muslims felt that sharia law was better than the U.S. Constitution. They also felt that they should be allowed to ignore the Constitution and instead be judged by “sharia courts” in America. Not long ago, another poll by the Pew Research Center found that 88% of Muslims in Egypt and 62% of Muslims in Pakistan favor the death penalty for people who leave the Muslim religion. The same poll found that honor killings were acceptable to many Muslims and that putting adulterers to death was a perfectly sane punishment. Finally, during the “draw Mohammad” controversy, not to mention the murders of 12 staff members of Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris, large numbers of Muslims around the world agreed that freedom of speech should be illegal and that any harsh words against Islam should be made a crime.

Western leaders step up rhetoric against IS as Brussels enters 2nd day under high threat level-By Maria Cheng And Thomas Adamson, The Associated Press | The Canadian Press – NOV 22,15-YAHOONEWS

BRUSSELS - Western leaders stepped up the rhetoric against the Islamic State group on Sunday as residents of the Belgian capital awoke to largely empty streets on the second day under the highest threat level. With a menace of Paris-style attacks against Brussels and a missing suspect in the deadly Nov. 13 attacks in France last spotted crossing into Belgium, the city kept subways and underground trams closed for a second day. Officials also recommended that sports competitions and all activities in public buildings be cancelled and malls and commercial centres closed.Western leaders, meanwhile, vowed to stand up to IS, which has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and wounded hundreds more; the suicide bombings in Beirut that killed 43 people and injured more than 200; and the downing of the Russian airline carrying 224 people in Sinai. All happened within the past month.Speaking from Kuala Lumpur, President Barack Obama said the world would not accept the extremists' attacks on civilians as the "new normal," and vowed the United States and its international partners would not relent in the fight against the Islamic militants.French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said IS must be destroyed at all costs."We must annihilate Islamic State worldwide ... and we must destroy Islamic State on its own territory," Le Drian said. "That's the only possible direction."France has intensified its aerial bombing in Syria and Le Drian said French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which has been sent to help operations against IS militants in Syria, will be "operational" from Monday and "ready to act."French President Francois Hollande is scheduled to meet in Paris with British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday, and will travel to Washington and Moscow later in the week to push for a stronger international coalition against IS. Cameron is expected to outline his plan for combating the Islamic militants this week as he seeks Parliamentary approval to join France, the United States and Russia in striking the group's strongholds in Syria.Russia is also trumpeting action it's taking to fight IS. Last week it intensified its airstrikes in Syria in retaliation to the bombing on Oct. 31 of its passenger plane in Egypt and on Sunday Russian law enforcement officers raided a hideout of armed militants in the North Caucasus, killing 11 of them in an exchange of fire. The militants were part of a group whose members had pledged allegiance to IS, the National Anti-Terrorist Committee said in a statement.IS atrocities like the Paris attacks are partly aimed at provoking the West, as the group hopes that stepped-up military action in the region will reinforce its narrative of a clash of civilizations and thus drive more Muslims into its ranks. IS and other jihadi groups seize on harsh Western rhetoric and civilian deaths to portray themselves as defending Muslims from modern-day "Crusaders."While its end-goal is a Western retreat from the Middle East, in the near-term it would likely welcome the arrival of foreign ground troops, viewing it as an opportunity to drag Western nations into a costly and bloody war of attrition.Tensions have been high in Europe since the attacks in Paris. France has extended a state of emergency — which allows police raids, searches and house arrest without permission from a judge — for three months, and on Saturday extended a ban on demonstrations and other gatherings through Nov. 30, when a U.N. climate conference with more than 100 heads of state is scheduled to start. All the usual markets in Brussels were cancelled Sunday and the minister of education, Joelle Milquet, told Le Soir newspaper that there was a 50 per cent chance schools would be closed Monday.Interior minister Jan Jambon said several suspects tied to the Paris attacks were thought to be at large and that the threat wouldn't necessarily disappear if Salah Abdeslam — who is believed to have played a key role in the attacks — was found."Unfortunately, the threat is wider than this (one) figure," he told Flemish broadcaster VRT. "There are several suspects, which is why we have put so many resources in place."Authorities in Brussels have released few details about their ongoing investigation.Several of the Paris attackers had lived in Belgian capital, including suspected mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who was killed in a standoff with French police on Wednesday. Abdeslam is known to have crossed into Belgium the morning after the attacks. His brother Mohamed Abdeslam called for him to surrender and said he would rather see him in prison than in a cemetery. On Saturday, authorities in the Turkish coastal city of Antalya detained a 26-year-old Belgian citizen, suspected of being connected to Islamic extremists and possibly to the Paris attacks. In a sign of the nervousness that has swept through Paris since the attacks, some travellers at the Gare Du Nord train station ran out of their trains Sunday after hearing noises they thought were gunshots but were actually caused by a pigeon being electrocuted on the tracks.___Adamson reported from Paris. Belgian capital on high alert after authorities receive warning of Paris-style threat-By Maria Cheng And Frank Jordans, The Associated Press | The Canadian Press – NOV 21,15-YAHOONEWS

BRUSSELS - Belgian authorities closed down Brussels' subway system and flooded the streets with armed police and soldiers Saturday in response to what they said was a threat of Paris-style attacks. The decision to raise the threat alert to the highest level in the Belgian capital came as the manhunt continued for a suspect missing since the carnage in neighbouring France. It was taken "based on quite precise information about the risk of an attack like the one that happened in Paris," said Belgium's Prime Minister Charles Michel. The tip authorities received suggested that an attack would involve "several individuals with arms and explosives launch actions, perhaps even in several places at the same time," he said. The U.S. Embassy in Belgium urged Americans in the country "to shelter in place and remain at home" while the U.S. European Command issued a 72-hour travel restriction for U.S. military personnel on travel to Brussels — a city of more than 1 million that is home to the headquarters of the European Union, the NATO alliance and offices of many multinational corporations. On Saturday night, a relative calm descended on the city centre, where restaurants and beer bars would usually be teeming with business. On Brussels' central square, the Grand Place, tourists snapped selfies as a green army truck full of soldiers pulled up next to a lit Christmas tree. Some restaurants and bars shuttered their doors, while others remained open, defying advice from the mayor to close for the night. Tensions were also high elsewhere in Europe. In Paris, police equipped with emergency powers extended a ban on demonstrations and other gatherings through Nov. 30, when a U.N. climate conference with more than 100 heads of state is scheduled to start.Several of the Paris attackers had lived in Brussels, including suspected mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who was killed in a standoff with French police on Wednesday. Salah Abdeslam, another suspected attacker, is at large and is known to have crossed into Belgium the morning after the Nov. 13 attacks. A Paris police official and the Paris prosecutor's office said Saturday they had no firm information on Abdeslam's whereabouts, including whether he was in the Brussels area.Carine Couquelet, the lawyer for a man who rode back to Belgium with Abdeslam, said in a broadcast interview Saturday that her client had said Abdeslam was extremely nervous and may have been wearing a suicide bomb vest. The Belgian Federal Prosecutor's office said several weapons were discovered during a search of the home of one of three people arrested in connection with the Paris attacks, but that no explosives were found. It didn't specify when the weapons were found. The three have been charged with "participation in terrorist attacks and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization."In the Turkish coastal city of Antalya, authorities detained a 26-year-old Belgian citizen, suspected of being connected to Islamic extremist and possibly to the Paris attacks — raising hopes of a possible new break in the investigation. The private Dogan news agency identified him as Ahmet Dahmani and said he is suspected of having explored areas in Paris that were targeted in the attacks. A senior Turkish government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to Turkish government rules, said he was believed to have been in contact with the Paris attackers. Dahmani had arrived in Turkey Nov. 14 from Amsterdam, and was preparing to cross into Syria together with two other suspected Islamic State militants, the official said. Officials across Europe, the Mideast and in Washington are trying to determine how a network of primarily French and Belgian attackers with links to Islamic extremists in Syria plotted and carried out the deadliest violence in France in decades — and how many may still be on the run.Belgium's national Crisis Center raised its terrorism alert for the Brussels region to Level 4, which indicates a "serious and immediate threat." Heavily armed police and soldiers on Saturday patrolled key intersections of the city.Residents were advised to avoid gatherings, train stations, airports and commercial districts. Service was halted on the Brussels Metro, as well as on streetcar lines that run underground. As the first snow flurries of the season fell, many stores and commercial centres in the capital shut their doors on what normally would have been a busy weekend shopping day in the lead-up to the Christmas and New Year's holidays. The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium closed for the weekend, and a Saturday evening concert by French rocker Johnny Hallyday was rescheduled for next March, the Palais 21 venue announced on its website.Brussels Airport, which is not in the Brussels administrative region, reported normal operations Saturday, but external communications manager Florence Muls said special attention was being paid to security. The prime minister, speaking at a news conference after the emergency government meeting, said "We urge the public not to give in to panic, to stay calm. We have taken the measures that are necessary."Michel said the government's crisis cell would meet again on Sunday afternoon to reassess the threat.William Bridell, an American living in Brussels, said there was a noticeable difference in the city Saturday."There's definitely not as many tourists and the Belgians have stayed in," he said. He doubted there would be any attacks with the greater police presence and was on his way to watch a football match.British tourists Georgie Maughan and Alexander Walker said they weren't too worried about the security situation and had dismissed advice from their hotel to avoid crowded places. They, too, were in search of an open sports bar to watch a football game. While some restaurant staffers weren't happy about having to shut down on one of the busiest nights of the week, waitress Lourdes Taipe said it was probably for the best."It's very bad for the company because we're losing money but we have to do it for the security of the customers," she said, adding the presence of so many police and military officers in central Brussels made staffers feel reassured.Parisians were still trying to come to terms with the new reality imposed on them by the attacks, including security checks on entering stores and public buildings and a visible presence of armed police around the city.In one of many tributes paid to the 130 victims of the Paris attacks over the past eight days, members of the Federation of Bikers of France gathered in Paris for a "RIP run." Some 75 bikers from Paris and surrounding areas drove through the city and held a minute of silence in front of the Bataclan concert hall where 89 people were killed, including three members of their Federation. The annual Christmas market along the Champs-Elysees avenue, shuttered after the attacks, reopened in time for the weekend. Although crowds seemed smaller than usual, people lined up on the cobblestones to ride a huge ferris wheel at the Place de la Concorde, lit up in red white and blue.___Angela Charlton, Philippe Sotto, Karl Ritter and Maria Sanminiatelli in Paris, Suzan Fraser in Ankarka, Turkey, and John-Thor Dahlburg and Lorne Cook in Brussels contributed to this report.

Explosions at Ukrainian transmission towers leave most of Crimea without electricity-By The Associated Press | The Canadian Press – NOV 22,15-YAHOONEWS

MOSCOW - Two electricity transmission towers in Ukraine were damaged by explosions, leaving most of the nearly 2 million people on the disputed Crimean Peninsula without power on Sunday, the Russian Energy Ministry said.Crimea was annexed by Russia last year but depends on Ukraine for most of its electricity supplies. Two of the four transmission towers in Kherson, Ukraine, were damaged on Friday. Ukrainian activists calling for an economic blockade of the Black Sea peninsula tried to prevent repair works on Saturday, but retreated after clashes with police.Around midnight, explosions hit the two other transmission towers, Ukrainian police said. They said it was not immediately clear who was responsible.Russia's Energy Ministry said that by Sunday afternoon electricity supplies had been restored to more than a quarter of the population, largely in the major cities, through the use of mobile gas turbine generators. The Crimean government said it would introduce schedules for supplying electricity and water to households due to the shortage of power-generating capacity. Few buildings in Russia and Ukraine have electrical heat.Russia's Black Sea Fleet, which is based in Crimea, was not affected by the power outage, the Interfax news agency reported, citing a fleet spokesman.

No bomb found on Turkish Airlines plane diverted to Canada, resumes journey-By Jeffrey Hodgson | Reuters – NOV 22,15-YAHOONEWS

TORONTO (Reuters) - No explosives were found on a Turkish Airlines flight diverted to Halifax, Canada, after a bomb threat and the plane was cleared to continue its journey, Canadian police and the airline said on Sunday. The flight, originally bound for Istanbul from New York, has now safely departed, Halifax Stanfield International Airport said on Twitter.Security officials have been on high alert since Islamic State militants claimed responsibility for attacks this month in Paris that killed 130 people. Russia has said the group was also responsible for the downing on Oct. 31 of a plane returning to St. Petersburg from the Sharm al-Sheikh resort in Egypt. The Turkish Airlines plane had been diverted after a threat was received at 10:50 p.m. ET on Saturday evening, the Nova Scotia branch of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said on Twitter. The plane landed safely and police said they searched it using dogs."The investigation into the threat is ongoing," the RCMP tweeted. The incident comes after another flight leaving the United States recently was diverted to Canada following a threat. Two Air France flights bound for Paris from the United States were diverted for several hours on Tuesday following anonymous bomb threats that turned out to be false. One of the flights, which had left Washington, was diverted to Halifax, but no explosives were found.. The other, from Los Angeles, was diverted to Salt Lake City.Separately on Sunday, a WestJet Airlines Ltd flight leaving Halifax bound for Calgary was searched following another bomb threat, police said. Hundreds rally against Islamophobia in north end-CBC – NOV 21,15-YAHOONEWS

Hundreds of Torontonians flooded two north-end neighbourhoods Saturday, showing their support for the Muslim communities there that have been affected by acts of Islamophobia in the wake of last week's deadly attacks in Paris. Organizers of the Gathering Against Islamophobia have expressed alarm over a recent string of anti-Muslim incidents, which include the beating and robbery of a mother outside of an elementary school. Shiri Pasternak brought her three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son to the march, saying she wanted to teach them early on in life about the importance of protesting against injustice and racism."I told her we were going to this rally because people were being attacked because of the colour of their skin, what they wore and their religion," the Toronto woman told CBC News. "And she said, 'I don't think that's right … I'd like to go support people.'"At the rally, dozens of people said students have been missing from Grenoble Public School and the middle school in the Flemindon Park area where the woman was attacked. Several mothers have been frightened to walk their children to school, parents said at the rally. Two other Muslim women say they were recently accosted on the TTC, while a University of Toronto student was allegedly spat on and insulted near Robarts Library. Last weekend, the only mosque in Peterborough, Ont., was intentionally set ablaze. The march Saturday drew the community together and hopefully showed the victims of these attacks that they have the support of their neighbours, said Amna Savowala."As a community, we stand behind them," she said before walking through Flemingdon Park. "Their pain is our pain."Hundreds of people came together Saturday from the Muslim, immigrant and refugee communities of Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park. They carried signs protesting Islamophobia and walked through the neighbourhood after setting off from Valley Park Middle School. A similar demonstration was held downtown on Friday. "This is an assertion of community strength," Syad Hussan said. "We are here, we are organized, we're not leaving — and this is us bonding together."Organizers of Saturday's march are also calling for an end to the conflicts in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, which they say have "exacerbated anti-refugee and anti-immigrant sentiment."

Provincial support exceeds Canada's Syrian refugee target: immigration minister-CBC – Fri, 20 Nov, 2015-YAHOONEWS

Premiers across the country have indicated how many Syrian refugees their provinces will commit to taking in, and the total exceeds the federal government's goal of 25,000, Immigration Minister John McCallum said Friday. In Ontario alone, the goal is to welcome 10,000 Syrians by the end of 2016."A commitment doesn't mean those people's feet on Canadian soil, but it's an immensely good start to have such enthusiasm, not only in words, but in numbers," McCallum said. The minister was speaking at an event in Toronto hosted by Humanity First, an international humanitarian relief organization, where he was joined by other speakers with expertise in the topic of refugee resettlement. All proceeds from the event will go toward assisting with the resettlement of Syrian refugees in Canada.McCallum did not provide any details about the government's resettlement plan, which the Liberals have promised to release in full on Tuesday. He would only say that Canada will bring refugees here quickly, and make sure to get the program right."We will give every possible consideration to concerns based on security," he said. McCallum also expressed how proud he is to be involved in the Syrian refugee file."I am an economist and I often deal with what you might call dollars-and-cents or bread-and-butter issues, but this one is different," he said."This one is about values, this one is more emotional, and this one leads me to say I have never felt so patriotic as a Canadian as I am today, to be involved in bringing 25,000 people from the direst conditions on the planet here to our blessed country of Canada."Pressed for more details by reporters after his speech, McCallum — standing alongside a group of recently arrived Syrian refugees —  said Canadian will have to wait until Tuesday to understand the full extent of the plan."It will come. It will be clear. It will be transparent. Canadians, all members of the media, will know on that day what our plan is," he said.Earlier in the week, CBC News learned that the federal government is working with the Armed Forces to prepare for temporary housing at military sites in Ontario and Quebec.

On cutting the crap, breaking the Caliphate’s back, and focusing on America-By mike | Published: November 18, 2015

Honoring Paris’s dead and wounded is now being done with crocodile tears, candles, moments of silence, crowds of strangers holding hands, pledges of solidarity, the endless, pro forma  singing of national anthems, and bouquets of followers mounded up as colorful, if wilting, temples to the dead.None of this nonsense honors anyone, it is simply another meaningless iteration of the made-for-TV, post-Islamist-attack “Festival of the Dead”, an event to which Westerners seem to be intensely attached and are now institutionalizing. After all, it’s a chance to get outdoors, walk a bit, and mingle with other self-professed and mourning lovers of humanity. It is, in fact, all hogwash. It allows Western people to feel they have done something to contribute to victory over the enemy when in fact they have done less to honor the dead and destroy their killers than their national governments — and that truly is quite an underachievement. But there is a time-honored and effective way to honor the Paris dead, as well as the U.S. and Western soldiers whose lives and limbs have been wasted since 2001 by national leaders who did not intend to win. If the United States and the West really do not want to do the smartest thing and encourage a Sunni-Shia sectarian war, then it has the near-term option of destroying all those facilities in Syria and Iraq that are essential to the Islamic State’s effort to build a state or, in their words, rebuild the Caliphate.Currently, IS is in possession of:–Highways and bridges–Portions of a railway system–Fleets of tanker trucks, construction vehicles and machinery, and farming equipment–Cell phone tower networks and overhead power lines–Improved waterways and irrigation canals/systems–Potable water and urban sanitation systems–Hydroelectric dams and reservoirs–Airfields–Grain silos–Mills for processing wheat and other grains–Facilities for mining minerals–Oil fields, wells, and refineries–Gas fields, wells, and distribution systems–Pipelines for fuel, gas, and water–Factories, government buildings, warehouses, and military bases–Farmland that is growing crops–Hospitals–Universities-–Police stations, military barracks, office buildings, and hotels that are used to store arms and house fighters. Each of these things, needless to say, is part of the IS military effort. They are even more important, however, to its effort to build a state, fund an economy, attract foreign volunteers, and feed, employ, and care for a population. They all are also wonderfully visible, cannot be readily moved or hidden, and are just the kind of targets that Western air forces can annihilate in an air campaign of relatively short duration. For the first time since 1996, the Islamists have acquired a large and valuable set of physical assets that they cannot afford to lose, and they are assets that are perfectly suited to the West’s conventional military forces and so will give Western militaries a respite from the folly of trying to defeat IS by killing their fighters one or two at a time.Destroy the items listed above and you send IS back to being just very good Islamist insurgents; still dangerous, but no longer advancing the reconstruction of the Caliphate.* Moreover, the loss of these productive assets via air attacks, and the high numbers of civilians that surely will die therein, will create an unhappy and restive population prone to rebellion in the regions IS controls. In such a situation, IS leaders will face enemies in each direction they turn, and will have lost the means of appealing to the young Muslims — and many older ones — with the powerfully alluring idea and nascent reality of rebuilding the Caliphate. For the West, the pulverized, smoldering ruins of these state-building assets, which IS has preserved because they cannot be replaced, and the moldering corpses of thousands who have cast their lot with IS or are simply present, will amount to its first strategic success against the Islamists since this religious war began in 1996.For the United States to undertake this campaign as a unilateral mission — let Russian and French warplanes waste ordnance breaking concrete at Raqqah, and the rest of the EU cowers behind cheap bellicosity — would be a chance to, for now, break the back of IS’s caliphate-restoring effort. More important, the mission’s success would allow the United States to truthfully claim it had done its part militarily and return home to a permanent policy of non-intervention, taking none of the resulting refugees, ignoring screeches from the human-rights mafia, the EU, the UN, and the new-age Pope, and spending not a penny to rebuild anything in Iraq or Syria.By attacking and then walking away, the United States would have lessened the IS threat for all and leave it up to Putin, Hollande, Cameron and any other Western leader to decide if he or she wants to stay engaged in the fight against IS instead of getting out, cleaning up the Islamists in their own nations, and letting the Shia-Sunni sectarian war flourish while watching the two sides devour each other. So following, for the United States, is a doable, unilateral, and non-time consuming plan with which to execute the just mentioned campaign, permanently extract the United States from the Muslim world, and let that world go to the hell it has been preparing for itself for a millennium. Let me admit that I have no military experience, but, hey, look where the West Pointers have us after nearly twenty years of failed war fighting and abject loses in Iraq and Afghanistan.–1.) The U.S. president orders the U.S. military to prepare an air campaign against the targets listed above. If the U.S. military is worth the money taxpayers have invested – at this point, an open question — all the targets on the list will already have been located and prioritized. A little time will be needed to move additional aircraft into range, say, three or four weeks.**–2.) When the U.S. military tells the president it is ready to attack, the president directs the secretary of state to officially recognize the Islamic State regime as a legitimate nation state and warmly welcome it into the vicious jungle that has been created by that useless, effete, and war-causing entity called the “International Community.” –3.) On the next day, the president calls a joint session of Congress to meet within 48 hours.–4.) When the session convenes, the president asks for a declaration of war against the Islamic State and is given that constitutionally required declaration.–5.) The president then orders the military to attack, and remains silent until the military reports its mission is accomplished.–6.) With that victory in hand, the president addresses the nation, announces victory and the end of America’s war in Syria/Iraq. He then describes what the campaign accomplished, what the campaign cost in lives and money, and why Americans would no longer see their government militarily intervening anywhere in the world unless the United States is attacked or an imminent threat needs destroying. He should end the speech by saying to Americans, “Good night, God bless you, and God Bless America First”.All told, such a U.S. air campaign ought to succeed as it plays to the U.S. military’s skills and will keep U.S. casualties low. If successful, it allows the United States to bid farewell to the Middle East – leaving it to whoever is stupid enough to want to be involved — and begin to focus on genuine U.S. national interests, like reducing the debt, controlling the borders, rebuilding the conventional military, severely limiting immigration, withdrawing from NATO, evicting illegal aliens, eliminating domestic Islamist organizations, and generally minding our own business.Notes:*IS and al-Qaeda will still have forces elsewhere in the world and so will be troublesome. But the lesson taught by the above U.S. air campaign — which is, and ought to be, Americans are overwhelmingly powerful, indiscriminate killers, and a little bit crazy — will not be lost on the Islamists. They will keep contending for Yemen, which the Saudis have made a mess off and should be left to fix; Libya, which is a poisonous gift to Europe from the UK and France — Clinton and Obama simply playing adolescent morons whose democracy mongering gave cover to the Europeans — ought to be left to them to resolve; Egypt, where the Russians seem eager to take on a losing situation; and Afghanistan, where both the Russians and Chinese have no choice but to fight to keep the Islamists out of Central Asia. Regarding Europe, the Islamists have the upper hand there and may win, but only because the Europeans seem to have no pride in their national identities, no respect for, or passion to preserve what their civilization has accomplished over more than two millennia, and no real will to kill the bad guys and save themselves. In non-Maghreb Africa, Americans must attain energy self-sufficiency and thank God for the eternal presence of the Atlantic Ocean.**The only American opponents of such action would be U.S. oil companies who lust for oil and gas from the fields IS holds in Syria and Iraq; U.S. arms makers who sell weapons in the region; Neoconservatives and Israel-Firsters who want endless U.S. engagement in the region so American blood can be shed to protect Israel; and the media, the so-called Peace Movement, and the college campuses, all of which are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Democratic Party. Opponents like these are all the more reason to undertake the campaign, win, and then come home to democratically or otherwise defeat the vermin.
