20  Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
21  And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

Iran targets ships in ballistic missile tests — report-One of two Fateh-110 rockets with seaborne ‘seeker’ system launched over weekend said to have successfully struck target barge-By Alexander Fulbright March 6, 2017, 11:03 pm-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

Iran test-fired a pair of ballistic missiles over the weekend, Fox News reported Monday, carrying out drills that the US and Israel maintain are banned by the UN.According to US officials who spoke with Fox, Iran fired two short-range Fateh-110 missiles in successive tests, outfitting them with a guiding system meant to target boats. One of the two Fateh-110 short range ballistic missiles tested successfully struck a barge floating in the Persian Gulf some 155 miles from the launch site at the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps base at Bandar-e-Jask in southeastern Iran on Sunday.Although the other missile did not hit its intended target when fired a day earlier, it was said to have been “in the vicinity.”One of the officials who spoke with Fox said that the Fateh-110 Mod 3 missiles that were launched were equipped with an “active seeker,” which allows for improved targeting of seaborne vessels. The missiles have a range of about 250 kilometers (155 miles), meaning they could not reach Israel from Iran. However, Syria and Lebanese terror group Hezbollah are thought to posses the missiles or modified versions of them. Iran has also hinted that it may have given technology to build the missiles to the Hamas terror group in Gaza as well.Israel has raised concerns in recent years of missile strikes on offshore gas facilities being set up in the Mediterranean. One official described the tests as “a concern based on the range and that one of the missiles worked.”The US Navy has a large presence in the Persian Gulf, where its Fifth Fleet is headquartered, and Iran has threatened on numerous occasions to attack US ships operating in the area. The report said it was not clear if the test was Iran’s first successful launch of the missile at sea.The first launch came on the same day that a US vessel in the Strait of Hormuz was forced to change course after being harassed by Iranian fast boats in the strategic waterway. The harassed boat — the USNS Invincible — is a tracking ship, designed to track ballistic missile launches. It was not immediately clear if the ship was purposefully targeted by the IRGC vessels in connection to the ballistic missile tests. On Monday, US President Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to speak “about the dangers posed by the nuclear deal with Iran and by Iran’s malevolent behavior in the region and about the need to work together to counter those dangers,” according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office. After Iran test-fired a ballistic missile in January, the US imposed sanctions on a number of entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program, and US President Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic it had been “put on notice.”Although Iran maintains that the testing of ballistic missiles is not banned by the 2015 nuclear deal designed to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, the US said that the sanctions were imposed for Iran’s violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2331, which calls upon Iran “not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology.”Since January’s test-firing of a ballistic missile, Iran has carried out a number of other tests of cruise and submarine-based missiles, while on Saturday state television said Iran successfully tested the S-300 missile defense system delivered to it by Russia following the 2015 nuclear deal after years of delay.

Rabbi comes under fire after deriding ‘crazy’ female troops-Defense minister says he will reconsider position of Yigal Levinstein as head of pre-army academy; female general calls comments ‘infuriating’-By Times of Israel staff March 8, 2017, 8:52 am

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Wednesday said he would consider removing a rabbi from his position as head of a pre-army yeshiva, after the cleric was heard telling new army recruits that military service drives female soldiers “crazy” and strips them of their Jewishness. In footage broadcast by Channel 2 news on Tuesday — just a day before International Women’s Day — Rabbi Yigal Levinstein, who runs a pre-army religious academy in the West Bank settlement of Eli, told several hundred graduates of another academy, in the settlement of Bnei Atzmon, that IDF service has “driven our girls crazy.”The comments drew wide condemnation for Israeli government officials and Liberman said Levinstein could be stripped of his position in the Eli school.“We will reconsider the position of Rabbi Levinstein and his fitness to prepare young people for service in the Israel Defense Forces,” Liberman said in comments widely reported in Hebrew-language media.“Since the establishment of the state, women have served in the IDF and made an enormous contribution to the security of Israel,” Liberman added, speaking from Washington, where he is on an official visit. “Rabbi Levinstein’s verbal attack not only hurts women in Israel but also hurts the IDF, the IDF’s heritage and the basic values of the State of Israel.”Tzipi Livni (Zionist Union) told Israel Radio that the pre-army academy in Eli could not be recognized for the purpose of government funding while Rabbi Levinstein remained its head.“This has nothing to do with women. It’s about how we prepare our young people,” she said. “There is nothing that connects Rabbi Levinstein to education.”Gila Gamliel, Likud’s social equality minister, initially refused to comment on Rabbi Levinstein’s words, saying she wanted to hear the Defense Ministry’s position and that she had “not yet heard” what Levinstein said.Pressed for a third time, she told Israel Radio that the rabbi’s expressions were “unfortunate” and “dark” and that many women, including religious women, served in the army. But she insisted that it was premature to express a conclusive view because people sometimes retracted their words, so she did not “want to rush.”In the recording, Levinstein is heard disparaging female soldiers.“They recruit them to the army, where they enter as Jews, but they’re not Jews by the time they leave,” he said. “Not in the genetic sense, but all of their values and priorities have been upset and we must not allow it.”“What happens if there’s a female company commander? This is a question of madness, it belongs in an insane asylum,” Levinstein said.As for female IDF soldiers in camouflage, Levinstein speculated that it was just practice for something far more important.“It’s like someone told me recently: They’re just practicing putting on makeup for their wedding day because they don’t know who will marry them.”Levinstein went on to talk about the benefits of marrying young before categorizing all of the women who serve in Caracal, one of the IDF’s mixed gender infantry battalions, as unattractive.Retired Brig. Gen. Rachel Tevah-Wiesel, who advised army brass in issues relating to women, called the comments, “infuriating” and “cowardly” and said rabbis who held views like Levinstein’s were just “scared” because “the train has already left the station” and religious girls are joining the army. She said that 85% of religious girls in the army told a survey that their religiousness had either stayed the same or intensified during their service. Some 4,000 religious girls currently serve in the IDF, Tevah-Wiesel said.Levinstein’s comments, while drawing fire, drew support from other rabbis, reflecting long-standing tension between the military, which has made efforts toward gender equality, and its religious branches.Last year, the appointment of Eyal Karim as chief army rabbi was put on hold after comments he made saying that it is “entirely forbidden” for women to serve in the army for reasons of modesty. He later apologized for the remarks.Drafting women was “not operational” and hurt the army’s social unity, said Rabbi David Fandel, head of a yeshiva in the southern city of Sderot, to Israel Radio. The IDF was “abandoning its values” for “agendas” that contradicted the values of Judaism, he said, adding that he thought there was an attempt to “silence” Levinstein.Rabbi Eliezer Kashtiel, another teacher in the Eli academy, defended Levinstein and said it was “abnormal” for women to serve alongside men.Levinstein drew censure last year after a speech he gave calling homosexuals “deviants.” He wrote a letter to the Defense Ministry, explaining his comments, but has had many of his activities with the military cut short in light of his controversial remarks. In his televised speech to recruits, Levinstein referenced last summer’s scandal, saying he met recently with an IDF general to smooth things over.In his latest remarks, Levinstein also discussed gay men.“They call them ‘new families,’ with two dads. It’s an insane asylum, simply an insane asylum,” he said, shaking his head.

As election fever grows, Yesh Atid woos 7 rural council chiefs-Regional leaders from across the country say they’re joining the surging centrist party ‘to bring about change’-By Raoul Wootliff March 8, 2017, 5:50 am-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

With Likud lawmakers beginning to talk about the political landscape “after Netanyahu” and Labor gearing up for a bitter leadership battle, centrist Yesh Atid joined the pre-election fray Tuesday, announcing that seven regional council heads from across the country were joining the party “in order to bring about change.”In a celebratory press conference held in Tel Aviv, party chairman Yair Lapid said it was “a happy day” for the party as he introduced the heads of the Golan, Bnei Shimon, Emek Hama’ayanot, Brenner, Yoav, Megilot Yam HaMelach, and Ha’arava Hatihona regional councils.“They are coming to us from the Likud, Labor and independent lists. From the deep south to the distant north… these are people that have come to work,” Lapid said, stressing that the new additions would help the party focus on issues relating to the country’s periphery.“None of them has asked for anything in exchange for joining Yesh Atid. They have come to us because they are no longer willing to define themselves by what divides and separates us, but rather by what unites and joins us together,” Lapid added.Golan Regional Council chair Eli Malka, arguable the most high-profile of the seven, said that joining Yesh Atid would help the rural communities represented by the council heads.“We decided together that we will join a political force and we came to the conclusion that the most natural and appropriate place to be is Yesh Atid,” said Malka, a long-standing member of the Likud party. In recent months, the Yesh Atid party has been rising in opinion polls — repeatedly coming out ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing Likud party. While the party has targeted voters on both sides of the political spectrum, Yesh Atid’s surge is seen to come largely at the expense of the left-leaning Zionist Union, which polls predict would lose over half of its supporters to Lapid’s party.Speaking to The Times of Israel after the press conference, Sigal Moran, head of the Bnei Shimon Regional Council, said that she had been a long-time member of the Labor party — the dominant faction within the Zionist Union — but felt that Yesh Atid “best spoke the language” of the periphery.“Yesh Atid can go a long way to advancing the issues important to the periphery and it is on the way to being a party of real influence,” Moran said, hinting at a potential strong showing in future elections.A general election is theoretically years away, tentatively slated for spring 2019 under Israel’s complicated electoral rules, but with Netanyahu under investigation for a raft of scandals, some analysts believe they may be in the offing sooner than planned.Formed by Lapid in 2012, the Yesh Atid party stormed to a surprising 19-seat success in the 2013 elections for the Knesset, becoming the second-largest party and joining Likud in the coalition. In the 2015 elections the party slid to the 11 seats it currently holds in the Knesset, where it sits in the opposition.Despite his party’s initial focus on domestic concerns, Lapid has used his time as a lawmaker to fashion himself as something of a shadow foreign minister, with the role of top diplomat currently held by Netanyahu himself.Tuesday’s announcement could mark a new emphasis on economic “bread and butter” issues for Israelis up and down the country.

Knesset passes law barring boycott supporters from Israel-Foreign nationals who support boycott of Jewish state or West Bank settlement to be banned; critics charge move will isolate state-By Times of Israel staff March 6, 2017, 11:10 pm

The Knesset passed into law on Monday a bill barring supporters of a boycott on Israel from entering the country. The legislation, advanced by right-wing and centrist coalition lawmakers, prevents foreign nationals who have publicly called for a boycott of the Jewish state or work on behalf of an organization that advocates these measures from entering Israel. The legislation passed its third and final reading with 46 lawmakers voting in favor and 28 voting against it.It was not immediately clear when the ban would take effect. The law also extends to supporters of boycotts of West Bank settlement products, resting on a legal definition of an Israel boycott in a 2011 law that includes all “areas under its control.”It would not apply to foreign nationals who have a residency permit and gives the interior minister leeway to make exceptions. Under the existing law, the interior minister already has the right to bar individuals from entering Israel. The bill was approved in its first reading in November and the second and third readings of the bill were originally scheduled for late January, but were put off until Monday.MK Roy Folkman (Kulanu), who sponsored the bill, said the legislation was necessary in order to protect Israel’s “name and honor.”“It is possible to feel both national pride and also to believe in human rights. It is also possible to defend the name and honor of the State of Israel and this is no embarrassment,” he said, according to a Knesset spokesperson.MK Bezalel Smotrich (Jewish Home), who helped spearhead the bill, said the new law shows that Israel “won’t turn the other cheek” and that it was a “natural” step for any country to take.A spokesperson for Smotrich previously compared the legislation to US President Donald Trump’s controversial travel ban, saying “without going into the policies of the [US] president, every sovereign nation must set its policies in accordance with what is good for it.”Critics of the bill have charged that it silences legitimate political dissent on Israeli policy.Joint (Arab) List head Ayman Odeh said by banning settlement boycott supporters, the bill would end up ensnaring hundreds of Jews in the US and elsewhere who “are not against the country, but against the occupation.”MK Dov Khenin of the Joint List charged that the bill would helping the boycott against Israel by antagonizing critics of the country’s policies and in doing so “isolate itself.”Israel in December for the first time refused entry to a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. Isabel Piri, from Malawi, arrived at Ben Gurion International Airport as a tourist, but was refused entry as information available to immigration control showed Piri was active in the World Council of Churches, which supports boycotting products from West Bank settlements.Last week, Israel prevented Human Rights Watch Israel and Palestine Director Omar Shakir from entering the country for the second time in less than a month due to his past pro-BDS activism, but on Monday he was allowed into the country.Marissa Newman contributed to this report.

Bali defends leaving Hindu statues naked for Saudi king-‘We don’t have to cover up anything because it is our culture,‘ says Indonesian spokesman as Saudi king holidays on island-By AFP March 8, 2017, 10:27 am-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

DENPASAR, INDONESIA — Indonesia’s Hindu resort island of Bali Wednesday defended a decision not to cover up any of its ubiquitous statues of deities and semi-naked women during a visit by the Saudi king.King Salman and a 1,000-strong entourage are enjoying a week-long holiday in Bali after a state visit to Jakarta, during the first trip by a Saudi monarch to Indonesia in nearly half a century. When he met President Joko Widodo for talks at a palace in Bogor, near the capital, officials hid some naked statues in the grounds by covering them with cloth and putting plants around them as a sign of respect for the Muslim monarch-But officials on Bali — a pocket of Hinduism in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation — said that they would not extend the same courtesy. The island, which attracts millions of foreign visitors every year to its palm-fringed beaches, is home to many statues of Hindu gods and bare-chested women. In the past, Balinese women often wore only sarongs that did not cover their chests.“We’re just going to leave (the statues) as they are, we don’t have to cover up anything because it is our culture,” Bali local government spokesman Dewa Mahendra told AFP.He said that they “are cultural creations, they are art”.Local authorities had not received a request from the Saudi king or his party to hide any of statues from view, Mahendra said, adding they were more focused on ensuring the monarch’s safety.Strict interpretations of Islam forbid the creation of images of living beings — such as statues of women — and worship of idols. The king and his entourage are staying in five luxury hotels for the holiday, which ends on Sunday.Other places have hidden naked statues for visiting Muslim leaders. Last year a Rome museum covered up classical nude sculptures in temporary wooden cartons during a visit by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.Indonesia is one of the highlights on the king’s three-week Asian tour. The king started the visit in Malaysia and will also visit Japan, China and the Maldives.

Failure to address and deter these threats will place innocent people at risk'-Entire US Senate demands Trump take action on threats to Jewish centers-Open letter to the administration from all 100 senators comes amid a sixth wave of threats to Jewish institutions across North America-By Eric Cortellessa March 7, 2017, 8:23 pm-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

WASHINGTON — In a remarkable display of bipartisanship, every single member of the United States Senate signed an open letter to the Trump administration Tuesday demanding that action be taken to address the ongoing surge in anti-Semitic incidents throughout the country. The letter, which will be sent to the heads of multiple government agencies, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey, warns that if the issue goes ignored, human lives will be endangered. It came amidst a sixth wave of bomb threats to Jewish community centers across North America, as well as several offices of the Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish civil rights group that combats bigotry worldwide.“These cowardly acts aim to create an atmosphere of fear and disrupt the important programs and services offered by JCCs to everyone in the communities they serve, including in our states,” the 100 senators said in their appeal.“This is completely unacceptable and un-American,” they added. “We are concerned that the number of incidents is accelerating and failure to address and deter these threats will place innocent people at risk and threaten the financial viability of JCCs, many of which are institutions in their communities.”At least 14 Jewish sites were targeted Tuesday amid ongoing threats that have caused multiple evacuations and prompted some parents to pull their children out of JCC school programs. Since the trend began in January, more than 100 Jewish institutions experienced bomb threats, and multiple Jewish cemeteries were vandalized. The events have led many to fear a sustained assault on the American Jewish community.Drafted by Michigan Sen. Gary Peters (D), Ohio Sen. Rob Portman (R), Florida Sen. Bill Nelson (D) and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R), the letter urged the administration to devote its full resources to confronting the threats and assisting the victims.“We encourage you to communicate with individual JCCs, the JCC Association of North America, Jewish Day Schools, Synagogues and other Jewish community institutions regarding victim assistance, grant opportunities or other federal assistance that may be available to enhance security measures and improve preparedness,” the text said.“We also recognize the anti-Semitic sentiment behind this spate of threats and encourage your Departments to continue to inform state and local law enforcement organizations of their obligations under the Hate Crime Statistics Act and other federal laws,” it added.President Donald Trump denounced anti-Semitic attacks in his maiden speech to Congress one week ago, opening that address by saying the phenomenon was a reminder “of our nation’s path toward civil rights and the work that remains.”“Recent threats targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its forms,” he said. Many of the nation’s most prominent and powerful Jewish organizations immediately came out in support of the letter, including the ADL, the American Jewish Committee, the Jewish Community Center Association of North America, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the Orthodox Union, the Jewish Federations of North America and the Union for Reform Judaism.“I commend Senators Peters, Portman, Nelson and Rubio for mobilizing such a resounding bipartisan call for action,” said ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt. “Today the Senate demonstrated a unified moral front against hatred and sent a strong message that in our America a threat against one of us is an attack on all of us.”

While some parents pull out of JCCs, others vow to remain despite bomb threats-The waves of intimidation are taking a toll, but ‘I don’t want to give the anti-Semites what they want,’ says one parent-By Ben Sales March 8, 2017, 4:10 am-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

JTA – When Cincinnati’s Mayerson Jewish Community Center was hit with a bomb threat on Jan. 18, Adam Bellows was satisfied with how the staff handled the preschool kids, including his two-year-old son.The kids, said Bellows, had no idea the threat had happened. They were evacuated and taken to a secure location where they watched cartoons. But after he got home, Bellows’ son started having a tough time. He couldn’t sleep, and was scared to return to preschool the next day.“It was hard to see how much it disturbed him,” Bellows said. “He wasn’t scared at the time or anything, but the next day he was saying, ‘I don’t want to go to the JCC.’ He kept asking, ‘Are we going to watch Mickey Mouse again? Is mommy going to come pick me up again?’ His world was interrupted.”More than 100 bomb threats have targeted JCCs, day schools and other Jewish institutions, coming in six waves since the beginning of the year. The latest wave, on Tuesday, targeted more than a dozen locations — including JCCs, schools and offices of the Anti-Defamation League. While many JCCs report that members and preschoolers are staying put, there have been some exceptions. The Roth Family JCC near Orlando has seen 50 children pull out, according to reports that JTA has confirmed with a source who has knowledge of the matter. In Birmingham, Alabama, where the JCC has been targeted four separate times, six families have withdrawn their children.Parents who spoke to JTA were happy with how the centers have handled the threats. The kids have returned promptly to their programs, and business has been able to carry on as usual.“She wasn’t scared, she wasn’t worried,” said Matt Mandell, 39, of his four-year-old, a preschooler at the JCC in Rockville, Maryland, which was threatened on Jan. 9. “They did a great job of keeping everyone calm and not getting them scared unnecessarily. I feel very, very comfortable with it. There’s only so much you can do.”And yet despite appeals from JCCs for calm and defiance, the repeated bomb threats have taken their toll. The Orlando JCC is holding an online fundraiser Wednesday, called “#ThenNowAndAlways,” whose donor pitch says that, in light of “challenges greater than we expected,” this year “it will take significant effort just for us to break even.”An open letter to President Donald Trump, signed by all 100 US senators, urged specific action on anti-Semitism and alluded to the fiscal pressure on JCCs.“We are concerned that the number of incidents is accelerating and failure to address and deter these threats will place innocent people at risk and threaten the financial viability of JCCs, many of which are institutions in their communities,” the Tuesday letter said.Even among parents who are keeping their kids in JCC preschools, the bomb threats are creating stress in a place meant to be immune from danger. Even as their kids remain unaware of the calls, they’ve resulted in scenes of cribs being pulled outside, and law enforcement officials investigating campuses. Last month, the Anti-Defamation League put out a brochure titled, “5 Tips for Talking with Children about Bomb Threats at Jewish Community Centers.”While the threats have all been hoaxes, the disruption and inconvenience are having an impact on members and parents who might have other options.“I’m not scared, I’m infuriated,” said Emily Hausman, 29, whose three kids all attend preschool at the Birmingham JCC. “I find the whole thing infuriating. A threat is just a threat. They’re not real, and we’re being inconvenienced, and our poor kids are being inconvenienced, and dragged out into the rain.”In the wake of the threats, some JCCs have upped security, posting guards, hiring security coordinators or limiting access to the building. JCCs have sent parents a series of emails and text messages updating them on the threats and responses, and have held community meetings to address concerns.Others are wary of becoming less welcoming by “hardening” their facilities, and undermining the purpose of a community center.“While they are responding well to some of these concerns, they’ve stuck to this theory, which in my opinion is a little head-in-the-sand, that we’re an open facility, we’ve been that way for 100 years, we’re going to stay that way,” said Brian Federman, a lifelong member of the West Hartford JCC, which received a threat on Jan. 18.David Jacobs, the West Hartford JCC’s executive director, told JTA the center’s staff is trained to respond to a variety of threats, and is aware of everyone who enters and leaves the building.Despite his complaints, Federman says he and his wife have “not at all discussed pulling” their daughter out of the preschool. Other parents agreed, and said they view JCCs as a local hub they don’t want to abandon.“It’s really troubling, and really scary, but we live at that center,” said Nurit Friedberg, whose 2-year-old daughter goes to preschool at the JCC of Greater Columbus. “Whether we’re exercising or swimming, we’re there six days a week. She loves her school. We live there, and the idea of avoiding it doesn’t occur to me.”Several parents weren’t shocked when anti-Semitism came to the JCC. Sam Zerin, the parent of a 22-month-old at the JCC in Providence, said the Feb. 27 bomb threat there reminded him of an incident from his childhood. When Zerin was 13, anonymous threats arrived at his Indiana public school promising a mass shooting of Jews on Adolf Hitler’s birthday. While the shooting didn’t happen, students had to participate in response drills, and Zerin skipped school that day. He said the incident taught him that anti-Semitism, even at school, is part of being Jewish.“On the one hand, it’s like, ‘Oh my God, how is this happening,’” Zerin said. “On the other hand, it’s like some things never change, and life goes on. Life has to go on. To a certain extent, I don’t want to give the anti-Semites what they want.”

22  And the children (2 NATIONS IN HER-ISRAEL-ARABS) struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
23  And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels;(ISRAEL AND THE ARABS) and the one people shall be stronger than the other people;(ISRAEL STRONGER THAN ARABS) and the elder shall serve the younger.(LITERALLY ISRAEL THE YOUNGER RULES (ISSAC)(JACOB-LATER NAME CHANGED TO ISRAEL) OVER THE OLDER ARABS (ISHMAEL)(ESAU)

ZECHARIAH 12:1-5 King James Bible
1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

ISAIAH 28:14-19 (THIS IS THE 7 YR TREATY COVENANT OF DANIEL 9:27)
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

US envoy at UN makes bid for reviving Israeli-Palestinian talks-Nikki Haley meets Palestinian ambassador Riyad Mansour, urges ‘direct negotiations rather than looking to the UN’-By AFP March 8, 2017, 2:02 am-THE TIMES OF ISRAEL

UNITED NATIONS – US Ambassador Nikki Haley on Tuesday discussed reviving Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations during her first meeting with the Palestinian envoy to the United Nations.Haley tweeted after her talks with Ambassador Riyad Mansour that the Palestinians should “meet with Israel in direct negotiations rather than looking to the UN to deliver results that can only be achieved through the two parties.”Mansour told AFP that during the 45-minute meeting Haley “raised the desire to see the two parties engaging in negotiations” and indicated that the United States was considering a fresh bid to revive talks.“I don’t know at what level they want to do that, but once we receive a request to that effect, we will respond to it accordingly,” he said. The Middle East peace process has been comatose since former US secretary of state John Kerry’s efforts to broker a deal collapsed in April 2014.France stepped in and organized an international conference in January intended to lay the groundwork for a return to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, but there has been little headway. Neither Israeli nor Palestinian representatives were invited to the Paris confab.“The US is committed to supporting a true peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority,” Haley said on Twitter.Mansour described his meeting with Haley as “cordial” and said they agreed to continue discussions. The US ambassador earlier this month rejected suggestions that the new administration was abandoning the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.“We absolutely support a two-state solution, but we are thinking out of the box as well,” Haley said. The UN Security Council will discuss the Middle East peace process on March 24 and hear a first report on whether Israel is complying with a new UN resolution demanding an end to the building of settlements in the West Bank. The resolution was adopted after the former US administration did not resort to its veto and instead abstained, allowing the measure to pass.Haley has fiercely criticized the former administration for failing to use its veto to defend Israel and has dismissed the resolution as a “terrible mistake.”Times of Israel staff contributed to this report.
